Michael & Janet to perform at the World Music Awards?

According to various sources, Janet will be at the 2004 World Music Awards live from the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on September 15th. Other artists involved in the show include:

MARIAH CAREY
50 CENT
PINK
BLU CANTRELL
ELTON JOHN
MICHAEL JACKSON
ROD STEWART
TINA TURNER
KYLIE MINOGUE

The awards will be broadcast live on ABC between 9pm and 11pm. Rumours are already circulating in newspapers. A New York newspaper wrote the following about a possible Michael Jackson performance:
"And there may be a surprise guest. A performance by the most famous, infamous, brilliant, foolish and relentlessly publicized singer/dancer of the 20th (and 21st) centuries. It's sure to be a thriller. Given this entertainer's mercurial moods and what swirls in the atmosphere, nobody'll know till the lights go up, whether it will actually happen." Could it be that Janet will be performing at a ceremony with brother Michael for the first time?
