Contribute financially or contribute to the content of moopy.com itself?

What do you suggest Rob? I wouldn't have a CLUE how to put anything on a website... I presume if we have summat to contribute we pass it to Adam...

i'll see if I can do a blogger thing so that somebody can do their update for the day themselves...
otherwise i'll update the site! unless anybody else would like to help and knows dreamweaver and FTP?

Someone is going to have to take control of the practicalities of actually getting the goods into cyberspace, something about which I know sweet fuck all. But my quill is being sharpened in preparation; I have a few ideas in terms of how to do the reviews section....
Indie
03-02-2004, 06:36 PM
well, a breakdown of tasks and allocation would be good... obviously people will be able to cross those boundries, but core people in sections would be required... news people, chart people, columnists (in different areas of music), reviews, etc

I dunno what my role would be called. 'general' perhaps...
Indie
03-02-2004, 06:43 PM
most people could probably be general, but i think specialist people to do news updates are NEEDED.
Agnetha
03-02-2004, 06:44 PM
Well I put myself forward to be in charge 'or whatever' of news and shit. Unless anyone objects... I woul dof course work within the rules...
I suppose that Forum Admin can be my role, especially as the forums grow in size.
I'd also like to contribute articles and reviews to the site.

I will gladly contribute to whateer is needed!
Indie

i would like either a weekly or bi-weekly column to rant about rock music. I would also add reviews about albums and gigs...
Agnetha

Well if we need a quality control/ editor for news stuff, as I said I put myself forward. Once again UNLESS ANYONE OBJECTS

I'm willing to learn. I'm quick on the uptake with these sort of things.

at the moment daily updates by one person a day will suffice... no need for "editors" or roles just yet... everybody will contribute equally...

I think we should have a dedicated reviews sections for albums, films etc - basically whatever anyone wishes to write about.

I'm simply saying again what we AGREED upon back at Snot :p
and by "everybody" i don't mean everybody
surely its far far too early to begin giving people individual jobs... we need some material FIRST

thats the idea I think... at least it would work...
so basically you would have:
FRONT PAGE:
daily articles
links to other sections
REVIEWS:
movies
albums
singles
FEATURES:
other things people want to contribute... lists, commentaries etc...
i think thats a decent basis...

Right - I'm going to start writing a couple of reviews then.....the new Rough Trade compliation and the Fall re-issues to be exact. If no-one objects....

Something to start with... I know it's on every blog out there but a playlist... Everyone contributes a current fave song... We are about the music after all... Just like Pete 'dre....

I think 10, with an automatic :manson: for anything worth zero points ie Paul Weller records.

I agree with that.
Some periodical lists that involve all members also sounds like a good idea - like top 5 albums of 2003; current favourite albums; in addition to some specialist lists and stuff.

we must also be INSISTANT on using decimal points to precisely pinpoint an album's true rating ;)
