It's on living tv and quite nice in a sloppy sort of way, MUCH better than ER anyway... I do like that chinese woman from Sideways.

No but Sandra Oh (She's Canadian actually) is FABULOUS

You should watch it VoR, she is on quite fabulous form most of the time in it.

I keep seeing the ad's for it, apparently it overtook Lost in the states for ratings.

I may have to investigate!

It's not bad at all, though definitely aimed squarely at a female audience. It's very much a glossy soap set around a group of interns and their supervisors in a hospital.

My missus loves it, though I could take it or leave it - the voiceover of the lead actress (desperate housewives style) can get a bit tiresome after a while. Sometimes I felt as if the show should be renamed "Life Lessons With Meredith Gray"...

Which was indeed ripped off from SATC!

There's a new episode tonight, I'm looking forward to it!
That guy who wouldn't admit he was gay for Will on Will +Grace is FINE. And the ladies are sweet too.

And is it me or are Living getting a lot more money rammed into things these days? Swanky American shows and LOADS of advertising, Britain's Next Top Model posters on the buses ALL OVER London. And Grey's Anatomy was advertised on Channel 4, ITV and FIVE. PRICEY.

Unless this suddenly starts starring Sherry Stringfield, give me classic ER any day of the week.

One later later *bump*

Season two has just started over here and I've been loving it so far. Excellent show, indeed.

we are on Season 3.. it's EXCELLENT

I'm waiting for Season 3 to start here. Brilliant show. I love Addison much better than old Meredith, but it's obvious who is gonna get the guy.

It suffers from the Ally McBeal Syndrom of the main character being the most boring, though not to same degree. It's still not a match to ER (when it was good), but much better than the likes of 'House'. I agree that Addison is the best character right now.

"There is a land called Passiva Agressiva . . . And I am their Queen" :sheena:

that's EXACTLY what it is :D

the Meredith scenes tend to be the worst ones on the show

And of course her insights at the end of every episode are just cringeworthy.

I find her voice incredibly dull (Thank God they've given her a MUCH better voiceover in the German version) ..

Another one of my company's creations!

Lost, DH and Grey's Anatomy... 2005 was a BIG year for us :smoke:

You work for Touchstone?

It's not Touchstone, it's BVITV

Edward

Buena Vista then. Oh and do you know what the deal is with Miramax? Do the Weinsteins still have any control over it?

Toyah
10-10-2006, 06:25 PM
The Weinstiens have NOTHING to do with Miramax now, BVMPG took complete control of it last year. Though the Weinstiens did take the Dimension label with them to their new Weinstien Company.

Edward

I thought they'd still continue to get a cut seeing as they were to an extent responsible for Disney's upturn in fortunes, certainly in the 90s. Shame. No doubt the company will go to pot now.

Anyway, I guess that means the supposed Kill Bill re-release is in limbo.

What Toyah said.

Miramax is part of Disney - although you won't be seeing much of it now that Disney are concentrating almost completely on WDP

Touchstone will probably be lucky to have 3 movies a year as well

Is that 'Brothers & Sisters' show any GOOD?

I've read that it's one of the few new shows to get picked up for a whole series, so it must be doing quite well...

And yes, he's very cute. :D

Not "Grey's" related but anyway:

Actor Neil Patrick Harris has ended mounting speculation about his sexuality, by revealing he is gay. The How I Met Your Mother star was recently outed by a website, which claimed he helped his alleged boyfriend land a role in the sitcom. His publicist Craig Snyder played down the reports, insisting "he's not of that persuasion." But Harris has revealed all to People magazine's website because of "speculation and interest in my private life and relationships." He says, "(I) am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest." Harris found fame as a young actor playing a teenage doctor in Doogie Howser, MD.

I LOVE "Brothers and Sisters"

I think it's mainly doing well due to Desperate Housewives being the lead-in show but it's well written and has GREAT actors in it.

Very much a chick show. The fittest one isn't McDreamy or McSteamy or the gay one TR Knight but Justin Chambers whoever he is.

I'm totally hooked on this, got the season 2 boxset and watched a shitload of it on Sunday. As someone already said it does suffer the Ally McBeal syndrome of the main character being the worst but the rest of the characters more than make up for her annoyances with Christina, Izzie and Dr. Bailey being my faves. And yes it's VERY much a chick show, probably why I love it :D

There's a big thing in America at the moment because one of the actors called the gay one a faggot, twice.

He's gone to REHAB about it, which I find rather bizarre! :D

Do you know when the UK version of the second series is out? I bought the first a week or so ago and only have a few episodes left! It is indeed a GREAT show

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Grey's Anatomy, I can't believe it's taken this long for Moopy to notice it, I should have posted a thread before.

My favourite character is Addison, and yes, Justin Chambers is SMOKIN.

No idea, I got the R1 version, just get that. It's cheaper anyway!

Yup, they're thinking about getting rid of Isaiah Washington (Burke)

I don't have a multi player though but i may invest in a cheap one! I've never given hospital drama's a chance but fancied something new and now I'm hooked! And the great thing is it looks set to carry on for a good while yet, I caught it in its early stages. The last series/drama i was really into was SATC and that was just coming to a close once i'd discovered it.
