To be anonymous on the net when using Torrents, there is a bunch of companies that offer VPN-connections
It's a encrypted connection from your comp. to the VPN-company, so not even your ISP can't see what you are doing

When you are connected to the VPN-company you will get a "new" IP-number

The cost for a VPN-service is only from £4 - £5/month

A good program to use if your connection goes down just a few sec. or more and will show your own IP, when using VPN is VPNCheck

It will close down your torrent program, and will try to connect to your VPN, and when it's working again, it will also start your torrent-program

To set up a VPN-connection is very simple and all sites that are selling this connections got good tutorials, no program is needed at all to make it work

VPNCheck is just to make it 100% secure

It's a free program http://www.jothodesign.com/vpncheck/

What sites are people these days? I haven't done any for a while and have completely forgotten which ones I used to use.

I wanna know too. I used mininova.org which was great to get pretty much anything, but it's nearly dead now.

I use thepiratebay.org which seems to be pretty good. I used to rely on isohunt.com but it seems to have recently gone to shit because of some lawsuit. Is there an especially good torrent site to download individual songs? Because since I've gotten my new laptop, I've been staying away from Limewire and the like.

Is anyone using www.thebox.bz having problems with it? I start downloading a torrent and then it's keeps giving me a message that it's connecting and never downloads anything?

What torrent client are people using these days? I'm using uTorrent, but it's been USELESS for a few weeks now. I can't get a good speed on anything, and things like iPlayer and other downloads are scooting through as usual, so I wondered if a change of client may be wise.

I thought filesonic was just something like megaupload?

Indeed. But with a premium account it's a truly MARVEL that one.

Thanks, but I've had a look at the website and can't see it'll do what I want, though.

Oh I SEE, thanks! Although the first time I tried it wouldn't accept the passwords.

Sorry, I tried to reply to your PM but your inbox is full.

My uTorrent is working fine and i've been on a bit of spree in the last two days. The same thing happened to me with Azurus about a year ago when it wouldn't recognize some things (especially the box) so i switched to uTorrent. i guess that's not helpful but try to switch.
