Forrest Gump. It might be QUESTIONABLE ideologically, but sometimes I like a bit of American family propaganda

Pulp Fiction, VERY narrowly over The Lion King. 2 of the decade's finest IMO.

The Lion King is OVERRATED ASS HELL. The fact that Elton wrote the songs says it all.

Forrest Gump is QUESTIONABLE ideologically?? I think you'll find that Lion King is much more disturbing in that particulat aspect.

I think he means the whole "Good women stay at home and have babies whereas women who want to have more out of life become lapdancing, promiscuous, drug addict prostitutes who die of Aids" nonsense.

I didn't like Forrest Gump but more because I though the script and asting were very weak and there is no way it should have beaten Pulp Fiction for best film Oscar.

Isn't Elton a good song writer?

I'm not much of a fan myself. And he's not really cut out to write witty musical numbers. Nothing from The Lion King compares to Under The Sea or Prince Ali, for instance.

Well, yes, but that is what we've come to expect from certain Hollywood movies, while the sheer fascism of Lion King is not something you see every day.

UGH, I remember Oprah campaigning for Forrest Gump that year too. What is it with that tasteless hag and her "influence" over things like that?

Schindler's List or the Flintstones. Pulp Fiction is utter CACK
