Statement On Potential Dividends

The Board is aware that there have been some concerns over the accuracy of potential dividends displayed on individual profile pages in recent weeks.

We would like to confirm that this issue has been passed onto our technical producer who is currently investigating the problem.

In the meantime the Board would like to remind traders that potential dividends are just that - potential - and should not be taken as definitive values but whilst work is being carried out to rectify current anomalies, the Board advises traders to carry out additional research when considering their investment options.

The Board will advise traders once work on potential dividends has been completed.

The Board apologises for any inconvenience caused.

I think they just ought to do away with potential dividends. We don't need them, and it ruins an element of the game.

Either get them accurate or do away with them.

Potential dividends, if they do exist, should show divis based on press coverage so far. They are potential because a celeb may get further press coverage and thus a higher divi.

And they are always going to be a day or two behind.

PDs help those who are abroad who don't get to see the papers, but I'd prefer to see it replaced with a message board where people can post info about press coverage of celebs, eg which newspaper, which page, which day and what.
