Wow, the Keane Cover is GORGEOUS.
What a brilliant idea!
The voice is lovely, her whole appearance too, but some of the other songs are a bit too "Jazz" for me. But definitely a talented lady.
EDIT: "Something to me" and "Communication" sounds great too
"Communication" sounds great too
It's a Cardigans cover and is bloody DIRE compared to the original.....
Any artist with more than 2 names should be stabbed!

Absolutely nothing Lolly! Just that shes from Shanklin/Sandown on the island. I imagine some of my friends actually know her tho, shes around our age.
Is the album good?

You know she's a BIG West End star? I was first aware of her in 'Mary Poppins' when it played here prior to the London run. She was Sophie in 'Mamma Mia' as well, and I think I must have seen her, although I don't recall it.
The album is good, but it's a bit of a mixed bag. There are a few songs written by her, but it's mainly covers, some contemporary pop covers, others are from shows. Perhaps because of that it's not that cohesive, but it is a good showcase for her voice.
I agree her version of 'Communication' isn't as good as The Cardigans, but 'Somewhere Only We Know' is just beautiful. 'There Was A Time' is also a highlight, and as that is one written by her, the signs are good.
I'm not entirely sure it's your thing; you may find it a little dull. Would you like me to ggggg a few tracks?

Putting a few in now. Don't expect jangly pop music or anthemic ballads, though.

This Keane Cover is probably one of the most beautiful things I have heard in a very long time.
So pure and lovely.
It showed me once more the brilliantness of the original.
That's how COVERS should work!

She's BIG BIG BIG in the musical theatre world.
Started off in the chorus of 'Beauty & The Beast' at age 16 as a spoon but quickly got promoted when they realised how good she was. She was the star in the original productions of "Whistle Down The Wind", "Mamma Mia" and "Mary Poppins" in the West End and starred in "Fiddler On The Roof" on Broadway. AND she's only 23... :o
She got married at 19 to a fiercely heterosexual choreographer - they split for a few months a couple of years back, but they seem to be back together right now. She's big time God squad, so I doubt divorce is an option.

She also originated the lead role in "The Woman In White" at the Sydmonton try outs, but couldn't take it to the West End due to her "Mary Poppins" commitments. It's fair to say, she's fairly hot stuff :D

There's a big thank you to God in the album credits. I did wonder.
She is young to achieve that much in theatre. I don't think this album will give her much in the way of commercial success, but we'll see.

The album's got its own little display in Clapham Woolworths. Struck me as a little odd, but maybe it's hit Radio 2 or something...
And she's VERY religious... SOME say she got married as some kind of parental replacement... he's a fair bit older than her and, well, FIERCELY heterosexual, as I said...
