She has just won the Italian open, beating Farina.

When she was at the top of the game, I didn't really like her at all. But now I would LOVE for her to get right back to the top, and I think she can.

Her strops were amusing. I remember when Graff made a comeback and beat her in the French Open, hingis served underarm to her because she was losing and throwing a fit :D

You mean Safina. Farina presented the trophy (and is pregnant!).

Hingis' comeback is pretty extraordinary. She's now ranked #14. She should be Top 5 by the end of the year. She's now beaten Davenport, Sharapova, Venus Williams, Kuznetsova, Dementieva, Myskina and taken Clijsters and Mauresmo to 3 sets.

Ugh, after she beat Davenport I started to rediscover my dislike of her. Never have I LOATHED a player as much as Hingis. The bitch disrupted the GRAF era. At the mo, I am quite enjoying her though.

She was by no means crap... her hype was way bigger than her achievements though...

She said last year she would come back if her back problems were fully sorted. There were some murmurings a few months ago too. I think she should at least come back and play some doubles. She was always a better doubles player (former #1, couple of Grand Slam titles). Especially if she reunited with Hingis.

I know..it's just annoying how some of the media always say how she couldn't play...it's always a gag on telly.

The sad thing is people believe it. The amount of people that say to me "Kournikova was so shit wasn't she?", yet after a bit of probing reveal they never saw her play. IDIOTS.

That is what I was talking about.

It is so true that the tabloids can drum things into people's heads, and comedians too.

The general public seem to think that Kournakova had trouble even hitting the ball over the net. The truth is, she was an amazing player who didn't achieve what she should have
