TRICKY...because ideally i would want mascara, lip gloss and powder....but ive sacrificed the mascara because i figured id be hot/sweating/wet and it would run

I feel I would need to have the means to cover up any SPOTS in case I bumped into any nice natives on island. Also, I have become a major fan of eyeliner recently. I mean apart from on boys.

mascara = essential to life itself.

i was thinking of trying out eyelash perming - you can have them chemcially curled - i think it lasts about a fortnight. tinted and then permed would be AMAZING.

i've never really been into lipstick but vaseline and lipsalve sticks are essential to life itself as well.

none for fruity stuff though - bleurgh.

I have been obsessed with lipstick since I was a teenager. I have always like to leave my mark....

oooh im thinking of getting thaty done, theres a salon at my gym and if you have your eyelashes permed for £30 they throw in a free tint :D

Tho i thought it lasted longer than 2 weeks....its not really worth it!

Emma

My mam gets her lashes tinted sometimes... They're blonde...

Luckily I have eyelashes that don't require mascara or curling. Though mascara's always good on a night out... It's a GOD GIVEN GIFT

Tweezers... 'cause I have nice eyebrows when they are tamed. And lipgloss so I look all dewy & pouty when my rescue from island cannibals is broadcasted on TV!

My eyes can take care of themselves!

i wouldn't call tweezers make-up, but i'd NEVER go anywhere with them and lipgloss

Hmm, I put foundation, but if it was a sunny desert island my skin would probably clear up nicely and I wouldn't need it :o

I DIDN'T THINK IT THROUGH

GOOD POINT KATE

Sort of on topic: I have just put on my eyeliner for the day and by GOD it's my new favourite thing. Why didn't I discover it sooner?!

(I was afraid of poking my eye out, that's why.)

I am a recent convert to liquid eyeliner :D Only for nights out though, it takes far too long to put on (and tidy up with a wet cotton bud... :shy: )

I didn't realise quite what a difference mascara makes to fair-haired people til I went to see my friend with the premature baby the other weekend and she had none on... :o

That sounds really mean :D

I can't do liquid eyeliner. It's too hard for me. :(

YES :D

I only wear mascara during the daytime...and before people I know saw me with it off they assumed I wasn't wearing any at all, it makes a major difference. I look albino without it

Tweezers are an absolute ESSENTIAL.

Emma
24-05-2006, 07:53 PM
on reflection - if i ACTUALLY went to a desert island and i couldn't only take 2 things from my make up bag it would probably be tweezers and lipsalve.

nice eyebrows frame the face and my lipsalve is ESSENTIAL TO LIFE

Mericat

It has to be mascara - my eyelashes are transparent naturally and tweezers for all the reasons you've named above. And in case i'm there a long time and hairs begin coming from OTHER AREAS eek.
