RIGHT...my laptop does this frquently and its driving me mad.
I have wireless broadband and im with PlusNet. We have one other laptop in the house and one normal pc. The normal pc is connected to the internet with erm...wires.
Ok....when i search for Wireless Networks i find mine and one other.
If i connect to mine it connects fine, all looks ok, runs at 54mbps....but when i try to log onto any site nothing happens, it says Detecting Proxy Settings then wont find any page.
So if i disconnect, and then connect to the other network ive found in range...which i THINK is my neighbours, it connects fine and finds all internet pages ok, tho it is slower than plusnet.
Now all the other PCs in the house connect to PlusNet perfectly....why wont mine? :confused:
