great, now i have to start being responsible and remembering to take it.

Microgynon - been on it for about 7 years now I suppose. Eek. I worry about it sometimes but the pain is too bad without it...
How come you're going on it?
long story but basically my coil is 5 years old so it's got to come out and because i suffer from PMS she's suggested i try the pill again.
appointment is tomorrow morning and i'm NOT looking forward to it.
Do you know much about the injections and implants you can get? I knew about them but didn't realise until the other day that they actually stop your periods. Which sounds GREAT...
i hate the thought of slow release and long acting hormones so those are a no no for me - i hate the thought of being on the pill but at least i know I can just stop taking it if i wanted to.
i liked not taking artificial hormones but i need something to level me out as PMS is really making me miserable at the moment - and the only other medical thing they are suggesting is fluoxetine (prozac) which is apparently licenced to treat PMS as well as depression (i'm not depressed).
i'll give the pill a whirl and see how i am in a few months.

I was on the pill about 4 years ago to level out my periods, no idea which one it was tho. And it didnt work at all and made me really depressed! So i came off it

aparently the new brand Yasmin is better and they are going to try me on that.

I think im going through the menopause, i havent had a period for 3 months and i keep having hot flushes!
Ill adopt some vietnamese babies.

i can set my watch my my cycle now - literally down to the time of day but on the pill it was all over the shop.
I was the opposite... before I went on it I used to sometimes only have a 3 week gap :zombie: Vile
i'm dreading being given one of those dr whites MATTRESSES to use in the surgery afterwards. VILE
one thing i am looking forward to it the option to take packs back to back if it coincides with a holiday or something - that would be HANDY

Mine is a ten year bad boy, I got it to take me up to around the time I want to churn one out!
well she told me to book an appointment before i came on my period and i wasn't allowed to have sex for 7 days before even with protection because they can't risk you possibly being preggers.
luckily Ed has had gastroenteritis for a week so no action for me, and i've just come on so perfect timing really - i can start taking the pill tomorrow. although i feel sorry for my doctor :D
don't worry i will report back on ALL the graphic detail. i may even ask to bring it home with me in a bag :D

Kate, my housemate has the injection because she can't go on the pill. It's not good to be on it long term, and she still bleeds sometimes. So she's probably going to have to come off it sometime soon.
i've heard loads of horror stories about that depro injection like weight gain and stuff.
I don't use the Pill. Me & my boyfriend just have sex standing up. He swears that I won't get pregnant and I believe him.

Oh she definitely doesn't have that problem! But it can't be good, completely irradicating periods like that. I don't like the concept of the whole thing at all.
i'm not bothered by that because when you are on the pill your periods are fake anyway - your womb lining is artificially stimulated to thicken and then shed because no eggs are released for it do thicken for naturally. the i jection just doesn't go the the rigmarole of thickening the womb lining as much

My brothers girlfriend has the injection and she swears by it, shes been on it for 3 years now.
