Only started tonight, for some reason. If ever I close my browser, I always have to resign back in, despite the 'remember me' box being checked.

oh ACTUALLY, this has only started since STAR played around with my access earlier, thinking about it.

SORT IT OUT PLEASE :Oi:

I'll fiddle with you anytime :horny:

I've not changed anything Lolly! And I've done the same to you before and this hasn't happened

It's still happening today. And I haven't changed anything either

I've moved this because I think it's something I've done rather than moopy (sorry Star :shy: )

I've noticed that some other websites (like celebdaq and king.com) are also not remembering my password.

Any ideas? I'm not aware that I've altered something.

Cookies remember passwords, right? Do you have them switched off?

lolly
21-11-2006, 04:25 PM
No, I'm set to accept all.

Have you tried deleting all the information on saved websites from your temporary folder?

lolly

I'll give it a go...

Have you tried throwing your computer down the stairs and then buying a new one?

lolly
21-11-2006, 06:45 PM

You could try using a different web browser. Do you use Firefox? It's very good and might solve the problem.

lolly

No, internet explorer. I'd been considering firefox for a little while though, perhaps this will be the spur I need.

Is it radically different?

It's not really that much different to IE. Apart from the fact its safer and you can customise it to look all pretty and shit.
Once you've gone over to Firefox you'll never go back to IE.

oh

I just went to use iTunes (using the new moopy link), and it wouldn't let me sign in, saying it couldn't make a secure connection, and to check my computer time/date was right. So I did, and I had tomorrow's date. I think I must have changed it inadvertently last night when I was looking on the calendar at dates.

Since then, it seems to be remembering my login :shy:

But you'd recommend firefox in any case? Is there anywhere in particular I should download it from, or anything I should know before I install it? Don't forget I'm a technoretard, as if this thread wasn't evidence enough...

Yeah go for it.
I made my mum use it and she hasn't TOUCHED a computer since she was at school programming ticker tape. its that simple.
Everything is the same as IE but it has loads of useful extras too. :)

Can I keep internet explorer just in case I don't get on with it, or will I have to uninstall it?

lolly
21-11-2006, 09:39 PM
And presumably I'll have to start again with my favourites?

David

Internet Explorer is doing the same for me on another site actually, but I Moop on Firefox!

Download it from the Mozilla website or just type 'firefox' into Google and go from there.

Yes you can keep IE and you won't have to uninstall it. As for bookmarks, i'm sure it gives you the option of copying them over to Firefox when you first load it up.

EDIT: Oooops, bookmarks aren't favourites. But you could make your favourites bookmarks and then it should bring them over.

Of course, if I had any idea what bookmarks WERE. I thought they were one and the same :shy:

Bookmarks are under 'bookmarks' in the toolbar across the top of the screen.

I assumed that by 'favourites' you meant past websites you've accessed from the arrow next to the 'http://www...' box.

Let's just pretend we are talking about the same thing!

I only have favourites on the toolbar. I'm just getting MORE confused.

SORRY!

Favourites ARE bookmarks in Firefox. I just logged into IE to check.

I'll download firefox when I'm feeling mentally competent. Don't hold your breath.
