Are you sure thats the actual file extention? I take its something VISUAL you are downloading with the WS being WideScreen. Example from googling that is:
"How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria S01E03 WS PD TV Shows\Other"
I reckon the actual file will be an AVI or something.
yes it's The Ruby in the Smoke from TV the other night.
so it'll be an avi then? marvellous, i can deal with those.

Will that open in Quicktime? Because you'll be able to export it into an iPod compatible video if you have Quicktime Pro, and if not just System Prefernces> Quicktime> Register and enter these

Apple really need to get with it and allow .avi files. Really irritating that, especially since .avi is pretty much the standard video codec. Converting to Quicktime then further loses picture and sound quality. Its like making an mp3 of an mp3.
i can view .avi files in real player no problemo, i just wanted it on my pod.

Anybody'd think it's worth getting a Zen or something.
Aww come on, who gave me bad rep for THAT?
Ipods are good in many ways, Zens are good in many different ways including that they play many more video formats.
