I presume you're referring to Bowie and Moz. I think you like most of the others.

I thought Tori was your no.2 - is it a case of growing out of her, or is David Bowie really that faboulous?!
Great to see Aimee and PJ in it but did think you'd put the 'Head a bit higher...
If I did a top 10, possibly 8 of your list would make it :horny:

Sadly, it's a case of both. I just hate the way Tori's become so fucking American these days - Scarlet was a good album but to fuck with the whole map and the tour dates and no singles here. I've also become increasingly fascinated with Mr. Bowie, and it was only a few months ago that he overtook La Amos anyway.

Oh, I've grown off them a bit too. Hail to the Thief did a Body Language on me: Very impressed at first, now couldn't be bothered with most of it.

I'm assuming you'd leave out the Smiths and Madge. :moopy:

I'm actually surprised to see you chose 'The Dreaming' as your favourite KB album and 'Good Fortune' as your favourite PJ single
I think all of them would be in my list, but in the top 10 ? Hmmm.. I know 5 of them would definitely be there.

It's always between Hounds and Dreaming for me, but these days I've been playing the latter loads and oddly find Hounds paling in comparison.
"Good Fortune" - don't know. It's not even in my all time Peej Top 10, but as a single - hmm.. it's definitely one of her best.

Bowie seems to have rapidly grown in your affections. You could be the new BuddhaOfSuburbia.
Where's Mariah then? Top 20??

Thread by Suedy tomorrow afternoon: Last night I went to a GAY party full of fabulous like-minded GAY people, and didn't come home till 9am. And even then I didn't get to sleep until I played all my Liza/Barbra CDs on a loop. Such a GAY experience! etc.

I jumped the Bowie bandwagon exactly a year ago, I think. It all happened very fast. I think I got over 10 of his albums in less than two months!
As for Mariah... I do like her but she wouldn't even be close to making my all time favourite artists' list.
If we're doing Favourite Loony Divas then she'd be easily #1 though. Happy now?

Oh and...
2. DAVID BOWIE
Single: "Sound and Vision"
...is the CORRECT answer.

I own 4 albums by artists in your top 10, although there are about 6 more albums I'm interested in as well.

I still like Buddha of Suburbia though. So he loved talking about all things gay a bit. OK a lot. Nobody's perfect.

I love "Station To Station" but probably still prefer "Low" and "Hunky Dory".
What's "Diamond Dogs" like? I heard bad things about that. I'd like to get all the deluxe editions.. sooo many Bowie reissues, quite a canny move floating himself on teh stock market.

My favourite right now is Low too.
Diamond Dogs gets a mixed reception - it was originally supposed to be based on George Orwell's 1984 but after his widow refused to grant Bowie permission he nixed the concept in theory, but in practice it's still a concept album about the whole post-apocalyptic thing yada yada. I quite like it myself. It's worth it for the "Sweet Thing"/"Candidate"/"Sweet Thing" (Reprise) suite alone.
Another criticism that the album gets is that Bowie plays nearly all the guitars on the album and, well... his skills don't really appeal to me.
The album was accompanied by an ambitious American tour so elaborate that it is still cited as one of the most groundbreaking theatrical tours - many have said that Madonna has probably been influenced by many elements of this show.

The DWT kimono-ripping thing is copied wholesale from the Dame's Ziggy Stardust Tour. Bowie did it first. BOWIE BOWIE BOWIE

Indeed.
In other news - scientists have finally discovered a use for Gabrielle's music in the field of CATTLE EUTHANASIA.
