Where would be the best place to get a last minute ticket for a show in London?
Still never seen Mamma Mia :o
In London tomorrow for the one day, then travel back the next day after a dull conference
So have from about 2pm on Sunday to do something on my own (as stupid work sent me down here alone)
So I thought a show might be the best idea??

The theatre itself (prince of wales for mamma mia?)usually sells returned tickets on the day. I'd go there at 2pm and ask when they go on sale.
Otherwise there are loads of ticket booths around Leicester Square.

My mum did this when she was in New York and got tickets Chicago for half-price.

Might give that a go then
Is Mamma Mia still at the Prince Edward? if so, what is the nearest tube?

It would have been cheaper to fly direct instead of going via New York.

I think so. Covent Garden's probably best.
EDIT: Oops, I got confused and was sending you to the Lion King. Follow Lolly's directions below.

It's at the Prince Of Wales now, so Piccadilly is probably closest, or Leicester Square.

Piccadilly Circus I would say...

Piccadilly would certainly be more practical anyway, wouldn't it? Isn't Leicester Square only on one line?

Oh right. I must admit I don't even really know where Leicester Square station actually IS. I just either use Covent Garden or Piccadilly and walk in to Leicester Square. In central London they are so close together. When I first started visiting London I must have got the tube all the time for stations that were only about half a mile apart.

When it comes to Piccadilly Circus I just end up either walking everywhere or getting the bus to/from Victoria!
