I never watched any of it at the time but have since caught the DVD's. Its truly FABULOUS- like an English Dynasty only with even WORSE acting and ridiculous plotlines !

Apparently, Chardonnay (one of the main characters' in the first two series) wanted to leave in real life to go to Hollywood so apparently (from a message board, so it might not be QUITE true...) they just say as an aside in the first episode- "Shame Char died of that eating disorder, eh ?"
