It's main problem was that it's forgettable. I'm really struggling to remember how it goes.

Had "Toxic" been the first single, though, I fear that everything else on the album would have been seen as far inferior. They did well to hold that back

I LIKE 'Toxic' but I still don't understand it's BROAD appeal...

A lot of people didn't think "Toxic" should've been the 2nd single when the album came out for some stupid reason. I DID so YAY me.

"Breathe On Me" is fine as well and the other obvious choice, and that looks likely to be the 4th. They really HAVE got it dead right this time..

Sheena

Kind of right

I still think that "Breathe On Me" should have been #3, "I Got That Boom Boom" #4 and "Everytime" the fifth and final single

But maybe thats just ME

I must admit, I do thoroughly enjoy that MATM bonus remix on the album with the eastern vibe..

Rishi Rich's Desi Kulcha remix it is, having just checked..

A few months ago I was thinking the same, but now i'm thinking they may have got it dead on. The Everytime video is probably her best yet, and she does need to take a break from all the sluttiness, since Breathe On Me will send it into overdrive.

From Popjustice:

Viewers! Did you find Britney Spears' 'Lucky' video a bit too subtle? Worry not! The video for her next single, 'Everytime', is her most melodramatic yet - and we fucking love it. Things you need to know about the video:

» It starts with Britney driving away from one of her pop concerts in a big limo so she must be really happy! Except she's not happy because she cry cry cries in the lonely car thinking 'If there's nothing missing in my life, why do these tears come at night?' Etc!

» But this time she's not just lonely - she's also being hounded by The Evil Meeja! (Look at their evil faces! They're ugly - so they're evil!)

» Although, on the plus side, Stephen Dorff is her boyfriend, so it's not all doom 'n' gloom in the world of Britney.

» Stephen Dorff kicks some cardboard boxes down a hallway. This is officially The Best Bit Of The Video.

» They have an argument in a hotel room. A vase is smashed. Ooh!

» Britney has a bath and drowns or something, then does the old 'Woo I'm dying and I'm going down a long bright corridor and I'm wandering around a hospital like a spooksome ghost' routine.

» Stephen Dorff gets his tits out.

» Just as Britney dies a baby is born in the same hospital that the sort-of-ghost of Britney is spooksomely wandering around in.

» Except at the end Britney isn't dead at all, except she is, etc.

Truly unbelievable. See it for for yourself - TangibleBrit.com and EverythingBritney.net have both got the video up for download. It is, in every way, a corker.

I do like "Boom Boom", but I don't see it being a massive hit or anything and it's been proved her R&B-type stuff doesn't actually go down that well in America...though saying that I think THAT song might actually work better, but still...trying to cater to that market doesn't always work, and when she has a good out and out pop song, it tends to do better..

I wouldn't mind it being the 5th single, though.

It will sink as a fifth single. It needs to come out while the album is still fresh if you ask me. Its a FINE single....LOVE that banjo

So where can I see this video then ?

The video is highly amusing...totally stupid, but I do love it. Though the ending makes NO sense to me, unless it's supposed to be a dream...:manson:

I don't know..."Breathe On Me" WILL be quite big. There's no way the follow-up will be ignored, plus it's quite good. "Boys" was a minor hit and "Rock & Roll" was the worst song on the album, so that's why that sunk if you ask me..

If that IS the 5th single, I really do see her getting 5 top tenners from this.
