its a brilliant album... OF COURSE... but "Tender" is kinda segregated from the rest of the album in a strange way... its probably the 3rd or 4th best Blur album (after Parklife and maybe Think Tank)

8.2/10 modern life is rubbish (loses it towards the end but side 1 as I originally owned it, is faultless)

13 is pure genius from beginning to end and has the most perfect flow of track to track that I've ever heard.

The Great Escape, while being far from a perfect album, will always have a special place in my heart, being the first ever 'non-pop' album I bought and played to death at the time. Shame it took another 9 years for me to come across to the other side!
