According to the INSANE but generally reliable steve_uk (He of the Louise obsession and abusive boyfriend)

*It's called 'Don't Want It'

*It's a mix of R&B, Club and Dancehall

*She 'used' some local dancehall guys called Sun Cycle. Dunno if they're producers or guest artists....

*She's been working with Texas on her new album and it should be ready in a few months.

All hail the mighty Gayle!

Saw it earlier too - I quite liked it actually... Top 20 methinks, but not top 10.

Michelle Gayle's daughter June Sarpong found dead in Irish street fisting orgy

Well if Louise could go top 5 with Pandora's Kiss...Surely if Michelle does as much promtion as Louise did then maybe there is a chance of Michelle going at least top 10...it can't be any worse than, Pandora's Kiss

But Louise has a fanbase - hence its chart run in the first two weeks being 5-24 or something.

I did think I was missing something there after I posted it...

Anyway, that's still very much a fanbase sort of chart run. She was never going to shift albums on the back of that...

Michelle Gayle has no fanbase AT ALL. :D Actually, she must have SOME sort of fanbase... she beat both Leee John and Hayden in Reborn In The USA public votes - and I totally expected Hayden to beat her.

Well yeah, especially considering most people thought it would miss the top 10, but it CAN'T have been much at all, especially as the Asda thing was a bit of a washout. I really do think most of it was fanbase sales, and don't forget the song had virtually no airplay.

Michelle will need promotion and airplay, and a damn good song. If she gets all that but the song's average I guess she'll be lower top 10 at best. But who knows...she is at least slightly well-known.

Louise had Radio One & Capital playing Pandora's Kiss...I really can't see them adding Michelle...her last single as featured vocalist on a song by some UK rapper only made #145...so I'd be happy with top 20

So I'm taking it that the song is just average??

The bridge sounds like 'My Neck, My back' by Khia.

It's OK, dunno though. Not a SMASH....

This will be like Mark Morrison last week! :grr:

Michelle is GREAT, she needs some exposure! No idea why she's left it quite so long after Reborn...

Ive seen the video a lot quite recently....but only on that Chartshow TV and Flaunt.

MTV needs to start playing it and she needs to get promoting.

The song itself is pretty good, if she lines upa few appearances on CD:UK, TRL etc it could sneak top 15, but she NEEDS to promote.

"Pandora's Kiss" was quite good imo :D I hate commercial music so "Don't Give Up" was nauseating. I bought the CD single because it was 99p. Go me.
