Her leaving is apparently supposed to be hush hush....even though it was in the Mirror, she denied it. But she has hehehe...!

I hope V2 sign her - it was reported that Virgin wanted a piece of her. Revolution In Me is a corker!!

Top 5:
5) Revolution In Me
4) Overrated
3) Twist Of Fate
2) Man Without Friends
1) Iodine

Except is 'we're like presents all wrapped up, and we can't wait for you to give us away' a paradox?

what exactly is a paradox?

Crash
21-04-2004, 06:52 PM
well a paradox is when you first look at something and you think its untrue but when you think about it, it could indeed be true so yeah i think it may indeed be a paradox

'no left wing to fight the right wing...we're like turkeys in a box' hmmm reminds me of kfc, except its chicken :manson:

example of a paradox: standing is more tiring than walking

When two contrasting adjectives are put together to describe something I think. Like: 'the vile beauty of Jack'.

Aren't they both? I thought it was when something contradicted itself?

Crash

From dictionary.com:

A seemingly contradictory statement that may nonetheless be true

One exhibiting inexplicable or contradictory aspects: “The silence of midnight, to speak truly, though apparently a paradox, rung in my ears” (Mary Shelley).

An assertion that is essentially self-contradictory, though based on a valid deduction from acceptable premises.
A statement contrary to received opinion

Mr Betty Draper

Well they are both correct then? Although my summation was wrong.

1. as you like it
2. overrated
3. xy (the chorus is a bit meh, but I love the "I'm dreaming words" part)
4. twist of fate
5. idiodine

Overall: 6/10 (album, too many dull tracks)
10/10 for sympathy for Siobhan ;)

i DO like how she got the premise of a song from a shakespeare book..very arty

She'd have done well if she'd released 'as you like it' as it sounds more pop. However, I'm glad she stuck to her roots and what she's happy with. I bet the label wanted her to release 'as you like it' too.

Spot on, it's pop perfection. Very catchy chorus, but in a non-chart "annoying after three listens" way.

ACE album, 9/10... she needs an indie deal

she needs an indie deal

i HEARD she was in talks with Virgin, which i suppose would give her more commerical success but i hope it wont take away her artistic involvment which London gave her but i dont think Siobhan would sign away her involvment

*starts a record label*

not hard is it? you just need a cd burner and somebody who can print labels...

T'is sad that Revolution In Me did so piss poor, its a great album and deserves to be recognised, and you know at the beginning of Suasex when there is all that funny talk at the beginning, if you play that bit backwards you hear something quiet interesting! ;)

That's not a paradox, that's an oxymoron.

This is not a sentence. Now that is a paradox.
