Popjustice/Perez/assorted internet gays etc seem to be frothing with excitement at this:

On one hand her voice is a bit irritating in a Gwen Stefani on an annoying day way, but it is very catchy, the video is interesting and she sings 'I love this record baby but I can't see straight anymore'.
She's on Akon's label or something though, which is a bit concerning. Still, she seems better than Katy Perry.

God American pop music is so random at the moment, it seems to be totally embracing the European dance sound - Rihanna, Chris Brown, Ne Yo, Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry all with dance-pop singles in the past couple of months.
I can't say this is doing a lot for me. I think its really generic and try hard, also how old is she?! However I've only given it a couple of listens, I entirely reserve the right to change my mind.
I keep seeing my friends playing this from last.fm and msn so I had a listen.
It's not very exciting and sounds like everything else I should love but don't.

thought this was average rubbish at first (and she's a complete christina aguilera soundalike), but it's grown tremendously and while it's definitely not great i think it'll be BIG
with some airplay this song can seriosuly blow up

I cannot believe that she is the same age as me, I honestly thought she was about 32.
Is there such a thing as a Just Dance instrumental? I actually really like the music loads, I'm just not a fan really of the song on top of it.

Is this looking like being a hit? She screams to me as if she is destined to be a completely forgotten popstar apart from in gay circles - a bit like Mania or that Cristina woman loomer was pleased with recently.
Well it's Top 50 on US iTunes after a ten-minute performance on Miss World the other night :o It was pretty cool actually. She kept popping up to sing verses in between the bikini models.

It is a good song but she looks like a pop star that'll interest me for about one month. I think I read somewhere (Popjustice?) that her album is not like this single at all.

How silly not to include the UK. She's over here in September to promote the whole thing.
Oh, is she? Perhaps things have changed then. All I know is that Popjustice said a release wasn't planned until new year, although it could well have been brought forward.
Dirty Rich is the second single btw. It's a tie-in with the dramedy Dirty Sexy Money, so the song is used on that show's commercials (in the US) and the music vid was shot on the DSM set.
