HI EMMA

As you seem to know about Macs, and further to my thread of confusion, I would like to ask you a Mac-related question, as I now have a more specific idea of what's wrong.

I have a PowerBook G4 and am running Mac OS X 10.3.9 on it. Everytime I try to download a programme it is saying that I need OS X version 4.0 or later or a newer version of Java (and that installing a newer versh of OS X might solve this).

All my software is up to date, so does this mean I have to buy a new version of OS X? Sorry for being a complete retard but I really do not understand Macs. What version do you use?

THANKS

Although if all this is over that awful Azureus application then it's really not worth it. Download Transmission if you want to torrent.

I'm not sure, never had that myself. Have you tried doing a Java update?

i've been using azureus for ages and it's fine for me - why do you dislike it?

It just seems like a massive resource hog. I'm not much of a fan of anything that runs in Java but then again I haven't used it for a while, it might have changed.

But when I Applications> Utilities> Activity Monitor. Transmission takes up 14MB of real memory. Which ain't too shabby.

What do you get from Azureus?
