BRING BACK THE OLD THREAD

I was quite excited to hear that this week's is a FEATURE LENGTH special. I hope that the particular feature that the voice over lady was referring to is Gone With The Wind.

NEW YEAR NEW START

I fully expect Neil Morrissey to be killed off within 3 or 4 episodes, I can't see him committing as it runs for months at a time

I fully hope he is killed off, although I'm sure he did all twenty last time and what else would he do? He's not Martin Clunes and times are hard.

oh is it still only 20, I thought it had been expanded

I had to go back into the other thread to check (:Oi:) but yes it is back for 20 glorious episodes of melodrama.

I hope Coke Zero gets his top off this year. Also I hope Janeece and Aspergers Girl get even bigger roles.

I'm unsure of his actual character name, unless it is actually The Gay Drama One.

I don't know about you Swangali but this thread just does not feel as good as the other one.

this thread pales in comparison to the other thread, I agree.

Eva Pope is another legend in my house. Along with Francine and Nicola, Margi Clarke and Calvin out of Emmerdale :D

Nice to see Guppy & Sam from Casualty and that angry boy from Grange Hill getting some work.

That PE teacher is well fit, he's no Coke Zero but well WHO IS?

I was looking away, but is Miss Mason some sort of lesbian with the lady who OH NEVER MIND THE NEXT TIME TRAILER SAYS THEY'RE SISTERS.

Gosh that really was a dreadful hour and a half of television. It had better up its game next week, or at some point in the 20 week run which I will no doubt watch religiously no matter what.

swangali
07-01-2009, 10:28 PM
that was bloody brilliant! :D I am just a bit vexed as I have a feeling 90% of storylines will revolve around gun boy, and he's a bit same old same old. Where are the supply teachers who frisk kids at the Hilton?!

It was the best thing I have watched so far this year.

11/10

Gun boy and his family are deeply annoying. Why have they replaced the fugly chav who worked in the canteen with that sad loser?

Oh the new PE teacher is Guppy, I'm sure he had his top off in Casualty many times :D

OH WAIT was that Duffy? :D

Here he is singing a song with who I think is the oldest boy from the new shit family. I'm not sure, it is too terrible to watch:

Also YES where was big Candice the dinnerlady? I'm not watching if she's not in it

I have a friend who sees Bolton from Waterloo Road practically everytime she leaves the house and she screams BOLTON BOLTON at him in a horrible shrill scouse scream. :zombie:

swangali
14-01-2009, 08:49 PM
Well this is nowhere near as good as it was last week, but I'm still enjoying :D

It does annoy me a bit though how every single scene starts with Neil Morissey marching through a door and shouting at someone :daf:

Jark
14-01-2009, 09:02 PM
Oh GOD at Neil Morrisey chasing after Rachel AND her sister :D

I am also loving the Irish mother. Her arms-in-the-air rave at the party was laugh-out-loud, as well as Donte's dad's proclaimation of "AVIN' SOME!" followed by a violent thrust of the gut.

I'm watching this now and think it's GREAT. Much better than last week, it's lovely to have rough Candice back. She's just punched Rose (who I realise is meant to be annoying but is bugging the fuck out of me).

I love that, to illustrate what difficult neighbours the new family are, all the houses on the street had "For Sale" signs out the front of them. Waterloo Road is so subtle.

GREAT EPISODE. I like really like Tim Healy in this, which is a surprise.

Tonight's episode is ridiculously bad. That New Zealander teacher may well be the worst TV character written in a long time.

Jark
21-01-2009, 09:05 PM
Whoever acted that New Zealander is so wooden he was practically TEAK. I'm glad he existed though, just so we got to root for the WONDERFUL Davina :disco:

Also I hate to say it but there's something quite attractive about Earl's swagger :shy:
