Really?
How much of this whopping 10 cents is going to the artist? :manson:
I don't think this is legal.

Well, I'm sure it's legal to a very short extent, like if you live in Russia or something (they have weak music copyright laws), but no it's usually not legal. Often, these sites go down all the time and just move to different URLs.

In other words, I wouldn't give them your credit card info if I were you.

TORRENTS are your answer then.

+ sign up at MuzicMatters.net, excellent downloads for free there and you can request stuff too.

Oh, sorry it was like that awhile ago too when I was still unregistered but registration opened up again for a bit and that's when I signed up..perhaps it will open up again soon?

Also, try Soundfiends.com, they're pretty much as good as MM is.

The problem I have with torrents is that you gotta download full albums.

No you don't, if you have utorrent (which imo is the best torrent downloader) you check/uncheck the songs you want or don't want to download from a torrent, it automatically gives you this option before you start downloading the torrent. Of course there are on occasion zip files where you don't have a choice, but if you steer clear of those you can easily download individual tracks off of albums from torrents.

Oh, Fabulous. Is torrents safer than p2p in legal ways?

No, but the chances you'll get caught are much smaller, for now anyway. I'd say the safest way to illegally download are those music forums like I already mentioned.

There are quite a few of these sites. mp3fiesta has been around for a while and can be good for stuff that has been deleted or hard to find - but I would guess that no money goes to the artist!

I stopped using gomusic.ru when my credit ran out and I tried to top up, realising they'd stopped taking PayPal I gave them my card details, then immediately got a call from my Credit Card company saying I was just about to complete a transaction towards a Chinese escort agency.
