Since updating to the latest version of iTunes (v8.02, I think), it has started to not automatically obtain the album and track details of any CD I want to import. If I go to advanced > get CD track names, then I get a message about not being able to connect to the CDDB network, which means nothing to me.

Any ideas? Inputting all the information in for each CD just takes too long.

What about right-clicking on the track and "get info"? or does that not work either?

That just brings up the boxes to input it yourself, doesn't it?

I don't know, mine are all filled in - thought it might be worth a try.

Can you access the iTunes store?

Just tried for the first time, and no - 'make sure your network connection is active and try again'

Might be something to do with your firewall or antivirus software - have a click around and make sureit says you can access the itunes store

Oh that would figure. For some reason I've had problems tonight with accessing the bbc website, with a message from Norton, despite not changing my settings on it. I'll have a poke around and see if anything is up. Thanks.

GET RID. Horrid program. Get something better and FREE.

It's an old expired version that came with the usual 3 free months when I bought the laptop. I've since installed other free programs, but just never got around to uninstalling Norton.
