That's part of it for me, i'm quite miffed that they only showed Babs Windsor from the neck up.

Doctor Who has just been robbed :( Ben Whishaw had best win later on. I have seen him in a few things, and he has been fucking mint in all of them.

TurnerPrize

It would be deseved, unlike X factor beating all those other shows just then

A June Brown speech would be shitting great, she acted like she was coked off her face when i saw her on Paul O'Grady once.

3 GRIPES with it:

01. That theatre was a shit choice of venue
02. Inbetweeners lost out to IT crowd.
03. The only good joke was that Jonathon Ross one.

When you start your new job you'll understand these little things like biased opinion.

And I still haven't seen Mad Men so it was a FAIR COMMENT

Let's be honest though, it must be quite amazing to have to have biased opinions about HBO shows, they are all pretty much the shit.

It's just that I don't see anyone around here rebranding themselves as Mrs Detective McNulty, that's all. ONLY SAYING...

I'd quite happilly be Mrs McNulty for an evening :horny:

Do you realise you'll be starting your new job just as Harry Potter 6 HITS?

You need to be getting excited round about now.

But I'm Warner Home Video innit. :( I really did want that Theatrical one, it would have been INSANE tracking the Harry Potter numbers as they came in.

I like this:

EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer, asked what she was wearing by a journalist, replied: "I don't know. It's a dress and a pair of shoes."

How the hell did 'Skins' win the audience award?! :D

TurnerPrize

I think even though it gets like a tenth of Corrie and The Apprentice's viewers, it's got the type of viewers who'll email and text votes in for it. i.e. Young and obsessed types.

It's similar (but on a much more overwhelming scale) to why Eastenders tends to always win the viewer-voted Best Soap at the Soap Awards, despite pretty much always getting less viewers. They get more younger people watching and have a bigger online presence. I've not checked, but i'm sure Skins has millions more Livejournal communites and THE LIKE than all the other nominees. I'm not sure it would have won if there had been a phone vote publicised during the awards though.

I do like how the audience award isn't even a proper Bafta, it's just a piece of plexi glass shit. It's as if the academy are pointing out how all the plebs at home know nothing.

Oh and i thought the awards were RUBBESH. They felt majorly flat, and i didn't agree with most of the wins. I'm sure Harry and Paul only won because they're producer died (and was responsible for some properly great comedy). The Harry and Paul sketch show is generally regarded to be shite. It says a lot when a lazy Dragon's Den spoof is their best sketch (imo)
