Starting NOW on Channel 4, with a different actress playing the Queen each night. Like Doctor Who but with royalty.

It might be a bit ropey but tonight's is about Margaret fucking around.

Oh I'd cope wonderfully, suddenly being a woman would be the bigger headfuck.

I thought this was going to be straight forward DRAMA without the talking heads. I forgot that channel 4 don't have a pot to piss in though, and it's way cheaper this way.

You know this is actually rather enjoyable, in a its something to watch to pass the time kind of way.

Samantha Bond next though should be better.

Oh i thought it was quite shit, i started wrapping christmas presents half way through.

One of the Queens looks absolutely shittastic in the trailer for the week. I think it's the final one, she looks a bit like the Queen as played by Marlon Brando.

Emilia Fox was far too old. Were there really no British actresses under thirty they could have found?

That said I thought the acting was reasonable enough. A very odd progrm though, not at all what I was expecting with a much more negative slant on the Queen than I had imagined and a proportionately bigger role for Princess Margaret. That isn't all bad (yay Katie McGrath), but it wasn't really the series that was laid out in the trailers and on the website.
