The only one I can say I'll definitely be watching is The Royle Family. Other than that I'll be watching Stoke On Trent folk getting drunk and playing bingo :(, after I've watched three motorways, several A roads and loads of residential roads.

GREY GARDENS is on C4 at 9pm and is the only thing I'm looking forward to. FABULOUS :disco:

On the day itself, nothing. I don't really DO TV on Christmas Day, and never have. A few of the above will be recorded, though.

when I say WATCHING I do of course mean TAPING to watch at a later date when I'm not eating/pissed/asleep etc

TOTP will be on in the background pre-lunch, Poirot recorded for Boxing Day, with Doctor Who, Strictly and the Royles getting my full attention. Although the Strictly specials are usually a bit lacklustre, so I may not be 100% with that.

All I do on xmas day is watch TV :bad:

My family are all posh and don't watch tv much, especially not on christmas day. I really am the dirty telly watching black sheep. I'll skulk off to watch Doctor Who and Her Majesty The Queen properly, but i'll also be recording Catherine Tate, The Royle Family, The Gruffalo, and Eastenders to watch at some point.

This is the first year in ages that i won't be bothering with Corrie :( Two years ago the christmas episode was really beautiful and made me cry, but now it's just awful (imo). The Kevin-Molly affair and Sally getting cancer is crap christmas tv, no matter how many one liners they throw at it. Still, Eastenders has gained a viewer by being awesome.

I'm shocked at so many people watching Top of the Pops, even on a music forum. I always find it quite boring, to me it just seems like people playing songs with very little effort. That's surely a waste of a christmas hour, especially with Fearne facking Cotton popping up between each one to say what an amazing time she's having.

Edit: Christ, sorry for the ESSAY

TOTP, The Queen, Doctor Who, The Grufallo and probably Poirot. However, I probably wont get to watch half of them,

All Star Mr & Mrs (for the Bunton)

The Royle Family (hopefully this'll be better than the last one)

I like to watch Her Maj despite myself. TOTP can fuck off since it's Fearne and Reggie presenting.

It's against family rules to turn the TV on on Christmas Day. The only reason we did was to play wii Bowling against my 81 year old Nan last year :D

I'll watch TOTP later on iPlayer. I missed half of the Queen! We finished lunch just as it was starting and then my mum talked over her - NO RESPECT. :Oi:

I will of course watch the Queen again for that reason.

I like Forever Is Over more than most, but it seemed so incongrous performed alongside the biggest hits of 2009. Horrible shouty vocal too.

Was the tit singing with Dizzee Rascal a former One True Voicer? He looked familiar.

Yes, was Daniel who got to the judges house stage of the x factor this year...

I might watch Dr Who actually.

Was Alexandra on right at the beginning? I only caught it from Dizzee onwards, and was surprised to see her get no mention from thereon, not even in the year recaps.

I am rather looking forward to the Royle Family-Gavin&Stacey-Catherine Tate marathon on BBC1 later.

Over than that I have only watched Christmas TOTP today so far, and will watch the soaps later. Other half has hijacked the telly with his new PS3.

Alexandra was the opener on TOTP

Didn't get to see TOTP in the end, dinner was ready just before it started.

We'll DOUBTLESS be watching Doctor Who, during which MOTHER will randomly grizzle and have a furtive masturbate under a pillow about David Tennant giving her a ROUGH ROGER

Just my luck. Better turn up on YouTube soon.

what do you do then, out of interest?

Christmas telly is a big part of the day/evening for me!

Apart from Her Maj, Corrie is my first television of the day. There is some kids tele on the other side I believe. Can't be doing with that.

I watched "Doctor Who" at 18:00pm followed by "Coronation Street" at 19:00pm. Pretty dissapointing for Christmas day to be honest.

I only saw Her Majesty in the end.

I felt a bit let down by the Queen to be honest :(

A minute of SUPPORT OUR TROOPS followed by about five minutes waffling on about the Commonwealth (FAO ELIZABETH: Nobody cares about the Commonwealth) is hardly going to ingratiate her with the general public. And she didn't even smile a little bit. She should have done it in 3D.

Well we all LOVE her anyway!

But 3D is a bloody good idea. Perhaps she can do battle with the 'ghosts of the past' - like Diana.
