Archie was great but was too temporary and never felt like a real Mitchell - just the evil outsider.

Kate wasn't really a Mitchell either.

Phil is the best male Mitchell - he's a great actor and can play a pathetic drunk, violent yob, doting dad worried about his gay, speccy 4-eyes son, and all round meathead. But sorry, you're not the best.

The greatest Mitchell of all time is of course Peggy. Babs can be quite a ropey actress on occasiion but Peggy is the glue that binds the Mitchells. She's the reason the Mitchell FAAAAAAHMLEEEE is so important - she goes on about it so much.

The Westbrook sam is fucking fabulous! I loved her tottering around on her heels, being really thick/selfish, and managing to be DOG ROUGH and unpractically glamorous at the same time during her recent comeback. I hope it's not the last we've seen of her.

I loved how the recent Sam and the Metcalf Sam were totally different in every single possible way.

When she left she was a really quite intelligent business woman, struggling to be taken seriously. Then when she came back she was thick as pig shit, going for glamour model auditions, and shacking up with any bloke if it meant not having to get a proper job.

She's just been such a BORE of late. She spent most of the lead-up to the Archie murderer reveal having a series of IDENTICAL dull argument scenes with Roxy and I became quickly fatigued with the whole thing. She has potential but the producers need to DO SOMETHING with her that doesn't bore me to tears.

Ronnie goes through periods of amazingness, and then periods of utter rubbishness so she does not get my vote. Generally she's tedious beyond imagination everytime they try to pair her up with Jack Branning. Which unfortunately seems to be happening YET AGAIN. When will the writers ever learn?

I voted Aunt Sal and Ben. Ben is just so completely ridiculous that he's actually managing to steal every episode he's in. Whoever came up with the idea of giving Phil Mitchell a son who is going to grow up to become the white Ru Paul is a GENIUS.

Now I think about it though, I regret not also voting Phil. Sometimes his angry angry act becomes tiresome, but DrunkPhil is MARVELLOUS.

My love for Ronnie knows no bounds. I actually really like her with Jack, on the rare occasions that they're happy. The tedium isn't in the pairing in itself, it's in the will-they-won't-they on and off periods. She's got a marvellous FACE though and something about her makes me pity her and root for her very much.

Phil is sadly underrated. When he cries I usually find it quite TOUCHING and equally when he's angry it's very convincing indeed. I also tend to find his casual scenes very watchable such as when he was asking Jean to pick out some flowers a few weeks back.
