Im thinking YES it be should but NO its not gonna happen :( Theyr no10 on the box and are B-listed at radio1! But then no good advice sold shitly at no2 and it was better! If it DOES get to no1 then itll be one of a handful of good no1s this year:

Toxic, mad world (technically LAST year but still...) and The show! Thats ALL I can think of! Everytime (britters) is QUITE nice but certainly not no1 material when the likes of stronger and slave4u both missed top3!

I smell a chart DISASTER....

It's been released far too soon.

Nicola Roberts needs to do a kiss and tell on a male celebrity she once went out with in order to drum up publicity.

I reckon loads of people will expect #1 but it'll end up at like #4 or something...

I'm thinking not, which is a shame because I really like the song. However, it seems that all the acts I like are all rapidly being consigned to the pop toilet (Janet Jackson anyone?).

surely not! Everyone thought that life got cold would flop but it made no3! And I think Jump did boost their chart status quite a bit! AND its a great song to boot! Did anyone think that britters would hit no1 for a SECOND time this year? Itll only take 40k to topple McFly and I dont see Blue George Michael Kylie or Black Eyed Peas outselling them!

Didn't 'Jump' give them their second longest charting single?

I don't think it'll be #1. Like VOR said, it's out too soon. Then again I didn't think Britney would come close.

Is Usher FINALLY out yet? I know the album has sold loads but you never know.

Yes, it was 4 minutes 11 seconds in length.

indeedy it did, jump was a sizeable hit! This one wont be AS big, but they won over a lot of fans with that coverversion i think!

It really SHOULD be #1, but I suspect #3 at the best.

I don't think it's been released too soon, I just don't think they've got a big enough fanbase...

Well better releasing it now than leaving for weeks on end letting it get overplayed and tired like they did with "No Good Advice".

I wouldn't rule out a #1 at all, but I'd say #2 or 3.

LOL!! You know full well what I meant!! Their second longest number of weeks-on-chart single.

I think like VoR said it is out abit too early but Dixielandings also has a point about Britney's Everytime being an unexpected #1...so who knows

god ur right floella, id forgotten about usher! his album has been FLYING up the charts which is the sign of an iminent SMASH, but hopefully the fact that its already sold loads will mean he'll stall at 2 or 3! I LOVED the first 2 singles from his last lp and Yeah was ok for a short while, but Burn is just HORRIFIC! Worse than that god awful eamon record! PLEASE dont make it no1 people!

at least you don't have 3 Usher songs in the top 10 like the US does:manson:

"Burn" isn't anything special, but it's not "horrific". I doubt it'll make number one anyway, considering "U Got It Bad' didn't manage and "Burn" is just a retread.

Well I like Burn 10 times better than Yeah!

Really a pity if it doesn't go to #1, it's the best pop song I've heard in months. No Good Advice hitting #2 was enough an insult!

And Usher is VILE! When you thought he couldn't be more rotten than "Yeah", it comes "Burn" and then "Confessions Part II". Smug little cunt.

It's grown on me a bit, better than most things around atm...

Last year's #1s were so much better!

If it werent for all the diabolical music out at the moment I could see this getting to #1, but it's certainly not #1 MATERIAL. The brooding synths are lovely but the vocals, arrangement and chorus are absolutely appaling. They couldve tweaked this song a little more to their, and ultimately OUR advantage. The product of cheap and/or lazy producers...*I* think so, anyway.
