#7, I think.

Let's just wait for Voicey to explain how her sales are actually very encouraging, though...

Her last album reached #4, so how is this a flop, her singles are selling well, well better than Mel C and Mel B put together;)

Her first album got to #4 and she was dropped, wasn't she?

Can you try English for that last bit next time Tim, it would help.
I'm just saying first album #4, 2nd album #7, how can that be considered a flop, and hasn't she just had 2 top 10 singles?

And I'm saying you're a contrary FUCKWIT. Always got a snidey little (usually wrong) fact or opinion, to contradict someone. What a fucking ROTTER.

But her last album charted higher (dunno about sales, I'm sure VoR will inform us), and she was still dropped.

I think it's 3 top 10 singles she has just had, but that's worthless unless she can shift albums.

did anyone expect her to enter higher  ???

i thought she'd miss the top 10, but she made #7 which is ok for her. next week will tell if it's a flop or not.

Yes, next week is all important.

After releasing 3 singles before releasing the album, I can't see that any future singles will bolster it. Most people are more than aware of the sort of thing on it already.

Plus next week will be the "Brits Effect" on the album chart, watch her's TUMBLE!

So having an opinion diff to those on here is wrong, get a life Tim. Now please attack Chocolat for disagreeing as well:manson:

She DID outsell 'AGLM' ACTUALLY.

Next week IS all important. She WILL take a largish dip cos at least 5 CDs will shoot up thanks to BRITS, plus two big new entries from Michelle & Duran Duran. But lets see how she SELLS...

For her to be midweek #7 and stay there is quite encouraging, you'd expect her sales to decline if it was pure fan power.

A top ten album after three top ten singles. Oh YES! FLUSH FLUSH FLUSH! It's not as if she's on bloody Virgin now....

Well SHE'S pleased! And she's SILVER....

Hi everyone,

I just had to write to say you guys have been totally awesome!

The last couple of months have been just amazing – if a bit of a blur. This is the first chance I’ve had to put my feet up in weeks, but it’s all been worth it.

I’m so happy that Free Me is here. It’s a little bit scary when you’ve been working on something for a year and it finally gets to see the light of day, but everyone’s reactions have been fantastic: so pleased the critics have appreciated it but I’m even more thrilled that you guys seem to be liking it too.

It was always going to be a bit of a risk taking the ‘60s direction – but it seems to have paid off. It’s gone silver already so there were a few celebrations over the weekend! So thank you, thank you.

I’m going to be taking some time out over the coming weeks to recharge my batteries until we decide what should be the fourth single. Next week I’m recording something very special for a very exciting TV show, it’s top secret, but it’s sooooo exciting.

By the way, I hope you all enjoy the records I signed for you, I’m so sorry there couldn’t be one for everyone!

See you soon,

Love
Emma

I thought she'd already shot a video for 'Crickets Sing For AnnaMaria' anyway....

I hope she doesn't do an Appleton. Take about 5 months to follow up a single, letting the album plummet from the charts entirely, then release something weak and bomb anyway.

'No Sign Of Life' PLEASE.

But will any future single help the album anyway? She's released three singles from it already. We all know the sort of stuff on it.

I can't really see that many people will hear another single and then rush out in their drove to buy it.

Appleton's fault is that they were also SHIT, nothing to do with waiting 5 months. Bland dull BOLLOCKS which doesnt inspire anyone to go out and buy

How ANYONE can think "I'll Be There" has anything REMOTELY interesting about it should be SHOT...

VoR
16-02-2004, 03:02 PM
Well Appleton's initial sales were strong. They had a good run, and sold more than Mel C & Danni's far more hyped albums. Dannii only passed them after 'DWLTF'.

Appleton are such a pair of CUNTS I didn't care how good, bad or indifferent their stuff was.

Well, predictably, I loved their album. Still do.

NME had it in their top ten best albums of the month it was released. Q have it 4/5 too. It's just that you lot are wierd :p
