It's a totally weird idea... how they can possibly think they're more likely to find the right people this way is beyond me...

Well, anyone can act up for a video, but then, I guess anyone can act up for an audition. Can't wait to see the human detritus that turns up for this actually; it's going to be worth hanging around just to see the sorts.....

Well they desperately need to get more interesting people on the show somehow. Anything to avoid the tedium of last year. I shall be encouraging one of my camp friends to audition.

But they constantly say they don't want people that are just gonna perform for the cameras for 9 weeks - yet they say they're not auditioning on a first come, first serve basis - they're picking people out of the queue that appear 'interesting'. Surely those people are just gonna be the same old performers? Or maybe not? It's weird and difficult to work out.

I think I'm gonna go along on my own to the Birmingham one... But open auditions are a fucking NIGHTMARE for anything. I don't expect too much from it...
