ooh does that mean you can get Super Maria World 4 and Mario Kart and play them on the pC

*sigh* Mr Wino. They don't make games about alcoholics anymore.
5. Ecco The Dolphin (Mega Drive)
![]()
Fabulous game, I found it so difficult though. The first "level" where you jump into the sky and all the stuff gets blown away always freaked me out, the music was gorgeous and the whole thing was very cryptic and atmospheric. If I'd been able to get past The Undercaves (the 2nd proper level) it'd probably be much higher up.
4. Pokemon (Game Boy)
![]()
I don't care what anyone says, when the whole world (seemingly) went Pokemon-mad with films, music, TV shows, endless merchandise and stuff it's easy to forget that it all stemmed from one game and it was such a good game. Totally absorbing from start to end, one of those games that seems a bit short but then you realise that it's because you can play it for hours at a time without realising.
3. Super Mario Kart (SNES)
![]()
Another one that you can just play for hours on end though obviously the multiplayer was the best aspect of it. When they released Mario Kart for the GameBoy Advance and included this game on it it just reinforced the fact that it doesn't matter what they add to it like they have tried to do with subsequent versions; the simplest one, both looks and control-wise is totally the best.
2. Final Fantasy VII (Playstation)
![]()
Ok so maybe RPGs are for sad people with no friends but I remember this was the first game I bought for my Playstation after seeing my cousin play it. Again, I can't see how this can ever be bettered. Nowadays the characters are smoother and the graphics and cut-scenes much better but none of them hold a torch to this. It's got everything, one of the best storylines of any game, ever and I remember being genuinely shocked when Aeris gets at the end of the first disc.
1. Sonic 2 (Mega Drive)
![]()
Best game EVER! Improves on Sonic 1 but unlike Sonic 3 doesn't push itself too far (Sonic 3 had dreadful slow-down in places). It's challenging but not impossible, and the whole Super Sonic thing once you get all the emeralds (with cheats I do confess) is rather exciting.
I'll upload the Visual Boy Advance on ggggg and then you go and browse all s2s systems for the games you want ..Originally Posted by funky

I don't know how many hours I spent playing that with my friend. I think we got to level 97 once and then died. Back when you had to wait 10 minutes for games to load *nostalgia*Originally Posted by Floella
Oh AND, thinking back to the earliest console I had, Duck Hunt was also quite fabulous. I can't believe it took them until the Playstation to start making games that used those cool guns again.

I remember renting that! Couldn't make HEAD nor tail of it....Originally Posted by Toyah

Ooh and Monkey Island 1 & 2 on the PC. I've never ever laughed so hard at a game for the right reasons.
What do we recommend for the SNES then?

I can't figure out how to open the games... They save as zip, which won't open in the SNES player...
1-The Warcraft/ Starcraft series each one of them was the best thing in it's time the latest Warcraft 3 is amazing too bad i can't play world of warcraft wich is supposed to be just as good if not better
2-Final Fantasy 8 one of the greatest RPG's not so complicated and it had a host of lovely characters and a cheesy storyline
3-Resident Evil series
4-Mortal Kombat until they made it 3d and took all the fun from it but in fairness the last one i played was MK4 wich was pants the new ones are supposed to be better
5-Summoner a great RPG wich was huge and included tones of weapons i can't play it anymore as the CD is scratched beyond repair
there are many more i can mention thaugh Diablo 2, Tekken, Shinobi (sega mega drive), Sonic, Comand and Conquer, The Legacy of Kain, Dungeon Keeper 2, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy 7
I bought this game from ebay only few years ago. But had no Sega. So I had to buy that aswell from ebay.Originally Posted by Toyah

Super Smash Bros. is ANOTHER of those games that is fabulous if you have 4 people playing it, I remember spending hours playing as Pikachu, caused many arguments.
But it's utter WANK as a one player game.
We played in halls in my first year. I was Jiggly PuffOriginally Posted by slave
