Look at the price of the boxset though. I know that's AUS $, but even so I could NEVER justify spending that in one go.

    I want it.

No way I can afford it though.

I have considered buying one of those knock-offs on ebay but I fear for the quality.

Supposedly theres an Aussie TV channel coming to Sky that will be showing it, but it would be an impossible task to be in every time it was on to record it properly.

I still have about 200 episodes on VHS from the 90s.

Oh MY!! Remember that really camp continuity announcer they used to have when C5 were showing Prisoner in the wee small hours...well just LOOK what one of his other CLAIMS TO FAME is

Bill was senior announcer for Channel 5 Television from its launch until two years ago. His irreverent style proved influential throughout the industry. He is particularly well remembered by many for his wonderfully camp commentary over the closing credits of the channel's late-night/early-morning run of Prisoner: Cell Block H.

Bill has also written a hit song. He provided both the words and music for Su Pollard’s number two hit single, Starting Together. Back to the present and, on top of his radio commitments, Bill regularly reviews the national Press on “Breakfast” on BBC2 and on BBC News 24.
    And oh...

I've done a deal with someone on another board who's buying these, and he's sending me copies at £5 per box set! He's flogging the originals on ebay and has made back more than it cost to import them in the first place.

I've watched the first 8 episodes so far and it's BETTER than I remember.

I'm really tempted to buy this too.

And does anyone else agree that Judy's Halfway House was the LAST place you'd want to go after being released from prison?

Hmm.. I really NEED those Edna Pearson episodes, but otherwise I've saw it twice on TV already. Surely there'll be a UK release? Don't think I'll bother till then.

Homes Place said the quality was good in an old thread.

I bought bootlegs of the final and first episodes of Sons And Daughters on eBay.. did the JOB.. but if you've seen them before they may as well be top quality

lmao.. of this I was not aware. He made the Channel 5 episodes almost worth watching for his comments at the end.

I've now got the first 128 episodes on DVD! I never in my wildest dreams imagined something so wonderful could actually happen.

I'm only up to episode 83 though, but it's exciting stuff! Terrorists have just stormed the prison and shot Erica Davidson, who wandered into their line of fire in sky blue frock with handbag in hand, and Alf Roberts off of Home and Away has just punched Meg Jackson!

    I'm on episode 200 now!

Bea has lost her memory! Prompting a very melodramatic flashback to her first murder, committed whilst wearing a hideous purple basque and ENORMOUS wig when she tries to strangle Margo Gaffney!
