I remember an Alex Kidd game on the megadrive where you had to play paper scissors rock with all the bad guys which struck me as a rather unfair way to die! I don't know if they were all like that!

Woo - Alex Kidd. I think I got to the very end but was defeated by the last boss.

I was king on Sonic, though. Sadly, those were the only 2 games we could afford!
    Top up, Sue?

They were, but I think it was the same sequence that each boss did (so presumably you only had to die once?) .. but STILL i agree

I could never kill the robot sonic on sonic 2 at the end.

But this is technically MegaDrive/Genesis speak!

I loved Alex Kidd in Miracle World (the one built in to the Master System II?) - I never had one though but my friend did... I have considered getting one just for that but I don't think I will!

    ditto!

although a few years later we bought Super Tennis and something else shit second hand for about £5. And i think we got a 3 in 1 game for christmas. it had a racing game, a football game and Columns (like tetris) which we actually still play at christmas. My mum loves it. My dad has always hated the consoles. Solitaire on the PC is as far as he'll go with computer games.
