I like it a lot
But it's a bit ONE NOTE, no?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Building A Mystery, I Love You and Full of Grace though
FEARLESS FEMALE
I still maintain Afterglow is her best album. I prefer Banshee Sarah compared to synthpop Sarah. This album is somewhere in between as she started to move deeper into acoustic territory. Some incredible moments, obviously starting with the two big singles.
I know "Angel" is cliche, but there is a genuine reason for it. One of the greatest songs ever. I think when I did my all time songs list, it was in the Top 5.
I just think this flows so beautifully
Afterglow is probably my 3rd favourite after this and Touch

I was really intrigued as to what the hell had made Indie post in this thread![]()
i had this album on the other for the first time since forever
it really is quite special, i discovered i still have a very soft spot for witness
there's something about it
i love you is one i find i've come to prefer to most of the hits these days
and last dance is just gorgeous
i might be due a little mclachlan frenzy
the best song wasn't a single
she's surely due a new album...
she keeps making vague facebook updates about being in the studio. HURRY UP WOMAN.
Mirrorball is my Sarah album of choice. The live version of Hold On is just incredible.
don't be silly funky it's just been over a year since "illusions of bliss" it'll be another FOUR before we see anything ELSE.
"Afterglow" is my favourite album, but this is a strong contender. Interesting to note that she struggled with writer's block before making it and never thought she'd make an album again.
listening to it again now, i really don't care much for adia and angel any more
9 seems fair
the best song wasn't a single
Mine as well. Although her albums are just beautiful for the most part, she is one of the very, very few artists whose studio recordings are mere footnotes to her live performances. Of course that's in part due to her albums being perhaps too polished and sleek, but mostly it's just HER being an immaculate performer.
nowadays I only listen to Adia, Building a mystery, Sweet surrender and Angel which are all 10/10 moments for me (despite Westlife's ATROCITY, CUNTS) but I need to give it a spin from start to finish soon
