I still maintain Afterglow is her best album. I prefer Banshee Sarah compared to synthpop Sarah. This album is somewhere in between as she started to move deeper into acoustic territory. Some incredible moments, obviously starting with the two big singles.

I know "Angel" is cliche, but there is a genuine reason for it. One of the greatest songs ever. I think when I did my all time songs list, it was in the Top 5.

I just think this flows so beautifully

Afterglow is probably my 3rd favourite after this and Touch

Mirrorball is my Sarah album of choice. The live version of Hold On is just incredible.

don't be silly funky it's just been over a year since "illusions of bliss" it'll be another FOUR before we see anything ELSE.

"Afterglow" is my favourite album, but this is a strong contender. Interesting to note that she struggled with writer's block before making it and never thought she'd make an album again.
i don't believe in love but i believe in you

Mine as well. Although her albums are just beautiful for the most part, she is one of the very, very few artists whose studio recordings are mere footnotes to her live performances. Of course that's in part due to her albums being perhaps too polished and sleek, but mostly it's just HER being an immaculate performer.

nowadays I only listen to Adia, Building a mystery, Sweet surrender and Angel which are all 10/10 moments for me (despite Westlife's ATROCITY, CUNTS) but I need to give it a spin from start to finish soon
