    moopy Sugababes - One Touch

I was UTTERLY OBSESSED with the Sugababes during this period. Everything about them just WORKED, from their miserable demeanour to the minimalist dance routines to, of course, the music. And the music is really really fucking brilliant.

They died when Siobhan left. Versions 2.0 and 3.0 are good, sometimes very good, but nothing comes close.

It's not perfect but it's certainly all killer no filler. There's no song i'm even close to disliking, so I can't really give it less than a 9.

Siobhan made this album. I was listening to it the other day and only realised just how many vocals siobhan did on it. No wonder keisha hated her! I agree though - the Atomic Kitten direction that the babes now head towards (even more so with their lastest album) only highlights how good THIS album actually was/is!

Everyone raves about how cutting-edge the Sugababes used to be compared to how they are now. I personally think 'One Touch' is over-rated.
It contained a few OUTSTANDING moments (Overload, Promises, Run For Cover), but most of the album tracks were pure filler.

The only period where I actually cared less about them. Also the only sugababes album I ever bought. It was a pretty solid album as I recall - I even enjoy Soul Sound.

I wonder if the new album will be more like this than its electro-poppy predecessors. If it even comes close, I'll be MORE than happy. This is one of my fave albums of all time.

Incredible album. It's in my top 3 along with Revolution In Me and Version 2.0.

Overload was such a tune, I can remember going to school and it would always be on the radio. And then I saw their CD:UK performance of New Year and I just fell in love.

I bought the album on the day after boxing day 2000 and can remember shutting myself in my room listening to it on repeat. Ahhh, so much love for One Touch.

Sugababes were never gonna be the same without Siobhan. She brought the edgy, leftfield sound that Sugababes have never been able to manage since her departure.

I plopped this on my mobile device this morning (having failed as usual to think of something to Spotify which I don't already own ) and golly gosh it is still wonderful. So DELICATE and VULNERABLE but BRAZEN at the same time. Omg I luv it.

I don't think I've ever listened to it properly - I'll put it on the to-do list.

I'm fond of 'Angels With Dirty Faces' in any case. It feels a bit more organic and raw than what followed subsequently.

Angels With Dirty Faces didn't offend me hugely at the time as parts of it seemed like they could have been on a second album by the original members. I can take or leave it though, much prefer Three.

Actually looking at the tracklistings, I think I like Angels... more than I remember. And there is some SHIT on Three among the brilliant stuff.

I will never forgive them for releasing 'In The Middle' - one of the LAZIEST, most uninspiring pop songs I have EVER had the misfortune to hear
