STILL NOBODY??
They're finally exploding a good bit.
Mumford and Sons
This band is absolutely AMAZING live. I saw them last night along with Horsebox, and they were soooo good. 'White Blank Page' was truly spine-tingling. Check them out here:

Have a listen someone!
STILL NOBODY??
They're finally exploding a good bit.
Me, me!
Loved 'The Cave' the first time I heard it back in May and the album is already one of my very favourites of the year. I think we need some sort of campaign to make 'Winter Woods' Christmas Number One. It would be so much more deserving than whatever shite the X-Factor pumps out.
I am listening to the album for the first time RIGHT NOW. So far track one isn't doing much for me, but Little Lion Man alone is worth the 8 quid i think, any other good song is a bonus.
Edit: Good call on The Cave dmlaw, i like it.

What a pitiful thread, shame on you Moopy
i'm pretty late for the party but what an amazing album, seriously the lead's vocals gives me goosebumps. i'm really liking the whole British Folk thing (well them and Laura Marling). You only need to listen to this acoustic version of White Blank Page to realize how good they are.
They're certainly one of the acts I'd never associate with moopy. Hence never digging up this thread.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
I bought the album on a WHIM (£4 in Tesco the other week, might still be) and I THOUGHT I liked it for the first few songs, but then it all seemed to get really samey. It's GOOD but the songs are incredibly similar in tone.
MOTIV8 VOCAL SLAM
It's a bit samey and it doesn't work everywhere and at any time but when it DOES it's fantastic.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
i thought it was samey at the begining (still do to a certain extent) but for some reason i stuck to it long enough for it to click.
I still love this album. I'm very excited to see what they do with their follow up. If they can come up with a really killer lead single, it could rule the world.
i PROPER LOVE the album now. It's very listenable.
I don't think i will ever tire of Little Lion Man, either.
I think it's a truly, stunning album. I can put it on from the start and never want it to finish - I don't think I'll tire of a single track. "Little Lion Man" was invented for drunken dancing, I'm pretty sure. I do agree with opinions on "White Blank Page" as well - it's easily my favourite.
Their Reading set this year was truly a spine-tingling moment. It's so rare for an ALBUM to captivate so many people in the way "Sigh No More" has. Everybody was singing along to EVERY SINGLE WORLD rather than just turning up for the hits. I've rarely experienced anything quite like it, really special.
I didn't realise just how big they are both here and in the US. They seem to be selling really consistently.
With the BRITs nominations and performance next month, I can see this album topping 1 million sales in the UK.
God, I hope they're smart enough to follow it up with another album this year. They surely must have recorded the material by now.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
So the lead singer who was dating Laura Marling has just married Carey Mulligan.
Well, he's sticking to his type, isn't he? Mind, I think Laura Marling the more attractive of the two of them.
Here's hoping it'll spur on her creativity for yet another album at the end of this year. Preferably with suitably bitter and banshee-esque lyrics.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
They both look a lot alike, i didn't even know he and Laura weren't dating (not that i actually followed their news).
Gosh that's quite quick, by my dated middle class standards at least. They can't have been together much more than a year.
I think they make a good couple but, as with casting directors, i hope he tried Keira Knightley first (etc, try the veal).
Also: new album please Mumford & Sons.

Did everyone know that they'd taken to covering this? Utterly inspired -

Three in a row but new album BABEL announced for a September 24th release. I hope it's good, it's not as if they've rushed the fucking thing.
There's no single announced yet, but i've been quite liking the Brightest Lights song they've got on the 'King Charles' (?!! definitely my favourite moniker this side of DOT ROTTEN) album that seems to be getting a radio push. It is basically a Dolly Parton song. Probably one of her (stronger) album tracks rather than a full blown single though.
Did you ever tire of Little Lion Man, TP?
I always wondered.

I hope to have many many more years of opportunity to do so, but so far NOT AT ALL. I love the spite of it all.
If i'm ever terminally ill, i'll wait until i'm as near to the end as i can get before sending you a nurse with my final answer.
