The third heat of the 2008 Melodifestival was held in Linköping, 23 February 2008.

(OT: There are at least 10 place names in Sweden ending in -köping. The word is cognate to the English place name 'Chipping')



On that day, BWO and Frida FEATURING HEADLINE went direct to the final, while Caracola and Thérèse Andersson went to the second chance round. Will moopy disagree?

Christer Bjorkman really did get the heat lineup ridiculously unbalanced didn't he? Only one song from this heat truly deserves to be in the final.

I actually don't mind rushing through the semifinals in this case... we all pretty much know the songs now so I suspect the majority can vote without having to re-listen...

I was pre-occupied with dissertation when the semis were on so i've actually only heard about half the songs in each. Would be nice to allow a little more time

Voted. Still think it's a weak heat though - one great song, two reasonable ones, three mediocre and 2 shite.

The reason I think this is weaker is that Heat 1 didn't have any TERRIBLE songs, whereas this has two. It also had two very strong songs, and I think this heat only has one.

I don't think it's a surprise that both of this heat's AC songs were knocked out in the first voting round in Kiruna.

No I agree here. Eskobar didn't do anything for me at all, and I/A's 3 he mentioned weren't that bad for me either. In fact Christer actually grew on me after seeing him at Globen!

Heat One is absolutely ridiculous. Linda, Shirley, Alcazar, Pay TV AND that lovely Cecilia Vennersten song would all be potential 10s and 12s for me in other rounds.

Poor Cecilia. I can't believe it's one of the biggest MF flops ever. I guess it's more "aww isn't that lovely" than "OMG must vote for that now".

I don't like it. Yes Heat One is a bitch, but it feels a bit of a waste of time not sticking to the proper heat structure.
