Is 90K still considered rather a lot for a Monday in the present state of things or will it be considered a disappointment for Oasis?

I'm still baffled by the success of that new Sugababes single. It's such a flat and uninspired song! Watch Girls Aloud limp in at #8 with a much better song.

It's a massive sale - they should easily clear 200k by the end of the week...

How does that compare to their last studio album?

I noticed the new one is £7 in Morrissons. Presumably the other supermarkets have a similar deal.

Nope. It's download only and they only got round to adding the digital EP today.
No b sides this time just a remix (which sounds shit from the snippet) and a couple of live versions.

Good to see Jennifer Hudson's album climb, lets hope it holds up for the rest of the week.

I think the last one did 80k or something first day? They're obviously gonna be very frontloaded, but they should clear 200k which is a damn final total. Nice to finally see some decent album sales - KOL should clear the 400k mark this week.

'Spotlight' is a top 10 record if I ever heard one, quite annoyed such a good song has stalled at #11

    Wednesday update

Big changes as it appears that the midweeks from yesterday had lots of sales info missing.

    SINGLES

    08 Iglu & Hartly
    09 Gym Class Heroes
    10 Oasis

The Courteeners, who were at #5 yesterday are now at #22, which would suggest it has had some sales removed.

    ALBUMS
    01 Oasis (NE)

    03 Will Young
    04 James Morrison
    05 Rihanna

it's unusual though not unheard of. If sales are suspect or it looks like there has been bulk buying they can be ignored. But they are normally not included in one day and then removed the next, they are usually automatically removed by the computer program. And the usual outcome is to make all sales ineligible, this has happened a few times.

It could just be that the missing sales boosted other songs more and that made the record drop but given that it has dropped 17 places that looks unlikely.

Wont it be their first lead single not to hit #1 since Overload? (Although, obviously it could still climb).

Yeah it will be, though Easy only made #8 (although it was launching the GH). Still, top 3 is rather fine and it's #1 on airplay so no big loss.

the track has been up and down, in and out the top 10, all week. It's being used by some channel as the backing track for announcements or something and is getting played to death on the usual stations...
