To me releasing the names/writers this early seems a tad absurd, especially given you won't hear any of the song till the night before its semi.

It's just being cruel to the loons!

Obviously I'm a flop loon, but I quite like getting my first impression on Semi night.

That said I don't think I'd love the likes of 'Kalla Natter' quite as much if Jessica's sex suit was the first impression I'd gotten.

This year I am mostly excited about the return of Amy Diamond and the debut of Agnes.

I am apprehensive about the return of Linda as (a) she really needs to keep a low profile after THOSE bitter comments about Gothenburg and Carola, and (b) I don't think she'll go down the schlager route again.

    I'd swap Ola for Danny.

If Shirley Clamp is returning with a ballad then I'm disowning her. After sticking by her through THOSE albums, I deserve better quite frankly.

I'm surprised that BWO are returning so soon too. As with Linda, they've been overly vocal about their discontent with not winning yet again. I expected them to enter for another country. It's not like they need a hit in Sweden. Is this Alexander Bard's excuse to wind down the band in summer 2009?

I don't really know what to expect from Emilia. I doubt it'll be a dance number, but at least we know she can knock out a nice ballad. Let's face it, her entry can't be any worse than 'Good Sign'!

Alcazar! They're back. Again, they don't exactly need a hit in Sweden after their fairly successful 2008. But a camp schlager number from them would be very welcome. They do it so so well.

I'll echo RobotBoy's comments about wanting a Lili & Susie song in the same vein as 'C'est La Vie', 'Idag & Imorgon', or 'Samba Sambero'. I reckon we'll get it too. If Thomas G:Son is submitting more than one song, then one of them is BOUND to be on that level.

Mans? Bring it on and such like.

It just begs the question though; if BWO, Alcazar, Shirley, Amy, Agnes, Ola, Mans, and Martin have already been (as good as) named, then who on EARTH will the wildcards be?!

I don't mind Shirley with a ballad actually, but then I've always considered 'Min Karlek' something of a Schlagerballad.

Hope & Glory is going to be the song to beat I reckon. Continuing the trend of Evighet and Hero or having grandiose titles.

Looks like a promising list, more reason to go. Especially if the Clamp will be there

Yes she is, she won the reality show 'West End Star'. I never saw that show so I have no idea what she's like.

Now that's QUITE THE LINE UP if you ask me. Just a SHAME that two probably rather amazing pop songs will be wasted on Amy *squeaks* Diamond and absolutely rubbish live singer Agnes.

And I just thought about this, in any other year I'd love Linda with a big fuck off ballad because I think she'd sell it very well and she's a VERY capable vocalist by now. But not this year when that fat ox and Dame Shirley will get all those votes.

Is that perhaps the equivalent of the English phrase "It's written in the stars"- as in "it's meant to be" ?

Oh, and I just read that 'Jag Tror På Oss' is fast-paced swedish guitar-pop with and edgy chorus. So not a ballad for Ms. Bengtzing then (that's if she decides to participate).

Well, it'll be interesting to see the joker choices. But I'm dead sure that Lotta Engberg will be one of them. We don't have the regular old schlager bird yet.

And I'm quite scared now if the SDF song is a stomper with a massive key change, can she withstand the strain of an energetic dance routine?
