    The Office (US)

They're currently mid-season right now, but it's getting ASTONISHINGLY AMAZING, it's literally my favorite show on television right now. Is anyone else watching?

If you haven't but are interested you can watch the episodes here (I recommend this season):

Loved the first three seasons, currently waiting on S4 to arrive in the post. Absolutely love it and I daresay even better than the UK version
    And if we stay together
We'll feel the rhythm of the evening taking us up high
    Never mind the weather
We'll be dancing in the street until the morning light

I love it. Better than the UK version(!)

I haven't seen much of the fifth series, just the first couple of episodes I think. I'm going to return to it VERY SOON

they're not really comparable in my opinion. The UK edition retains that feeling of it being a fly-on-the-wall documentary, whereas the US edition just feels like more of a standard TV show. I put this down to the fact that the UK edition stopped almost as soon as it started, whereas the US edition is now on what, its fifth season? The UK cast were also unknowns at the time of airing, adding to the realness of the whole thing.
    I didn't think, I just posted

yeah they are very different, fair enough.

the US one is just so AMERICAN though, which annoys me with this type of concept, and that's odd for me, cos I always prefer the American versions of TV shows.

I do love the UK version, but it suffers from overplay and over praise for me.

Plus I like that with the US version they didn't just copy it but have some AMAZING different characters like Phyllis, Kevin and Angela.

And John Krasinski is just the most beautiful man on the planet - FACT

There is something about John Krazinski, I can't quite put my finger on it. He's not exactly handsome in the traditional sense but I still fancy him

I think that's just a matter of taste, they rerun some of the UK episodes on TV here in the States and it's too dry for me...it's easier for me to warm up to the US version and actually invest in the story lines.

the UK version wasn't really about storylines though was it... but fair enough. yeah it's actually very different.

But to the point where I don't know why it's called The Office. I guess they had to be for the rights either way, even if they changed the names of the characters

I like how they sort of gradually turned Kevin from quite stupid to admittedly mentally disabled as the show went on ...

I know what you mean, he's sort of ODD looking with the nose and shape of the face, but he's quite charming and smug yet likable. Maybe it's just because he and Pam are the only 'normal' people on the show.
