LOL! I have a surprise day off!

Was supposed to go in this morning but needed to make an emergency doctor's appointment about my ear and it's at 10:30...considering I'd need to leave work at 10 to get there and by the time I got back it'd be time for me to come home again, there's no point

LOL! I have the afternoon off work. I'm going to spend it investigating why my wireless router slows the broadband down to 0.4mbps and makes me spend a minute waiting to load every page of Moopy and have to disconnect and repair every five minutes. Doesn't make it easy to Moop I tell ya.

Poor Steve really wants FF7 but because of the wireless problem he can't get on PSN.

Can he get on the PC? Use Media Go to buy and download it.
Actually can't confirm that would work, you'd need to move it from PC to PS3. Not sure if Mem Card/PSP->PS3 is viable. Not tried it.

Really? We are umming and arring here about getting last minute cheapish tickets for one of the shows, but part of me wants to just leave britney on a shelf for a bit, until watching her won't feel like watching a tortured dancing bear in a victorian circus.

In other news my mum phoned last night to say that at home they have an ADDER in the garden. i.e. The UK's only poisonous snake I am glad that i will not be home for a few months.

In less interesting news i am really fucking hungover, hav had cunt all sleep, and need to write 25 pages today to stay on target not to get a bollocking and docked marks.

Mind your language TP, you foul mouthed little cunt.

I feel sorry for your parents. If If had an adder in my garden, I would literally barricade myself into the house an not leave until it had been killed. I hate snakes so much. Even grass snakes bring me out in a cold sweat. They're so evil.

apparently my stepmum spotted a grass snake catching a frog from the pond the other day and she grabbed it and shook it until it dropped the frog... and now they have a traumatised frog clinging to one of their bushes

Eeeeh, nasty. I knew we could get snakes in the garden at home, but i've never seen one there. A few years ago i was on a driving lesson down a nearby lane and drove over (without the wheels touching it) what i thought was a big stick, only for the driving instructor to scream OH MY GOD IT'S A SNAKE and us to both start streaming like little girls when i saw it wriggling away in the rear view mirror.

Mum is similar, but Dad has gone looking for it

They're always gardening though, and apparently it went down a hole by the garage so i give it minutes until my dad is dead. Oh well, it is a cool death

YES, love, well I could have told you that TWO FUCKING WEEKS AGO despite the fact that you and your colleagues have been telling me it's ANYTHING BUT such as WAX (I'm not DIRTY, thank you VERY MUCH) or a BACTERIAL DISEASE (I certainly don't have one of THOSE in my EARS) so why bother going through a whole RIGMOROLE to determine what we ALREADY KNOW, just to turn around and say "Oh it'll clear itself" to which I got RATHER ANNOYED and then prescribe me some "special decongestant" (special? Like I'm a FUCKING child...is it MAGICAL too you STUPID TWAT?) which I paid a£7.20 prescription charge for and when the pharmacist came over to me to give it to me said "Why did she prescribe you this, it's available on the shelf for £2.49" only for me to discover it's fucking OTRIVINE NASAL SPRAY which I've been using and had TOLD HER I'd been using for the past fortnight ANYWAY

Oh and I almost forgot the best bit...

"What do you do for a living Mr Peachey?"
"Erm, I'm a translator, is that relevant?"
"Well I wanted to see if you did a job that used your ears..."

Sheena, I had a similar problem when I was ill recently. Without going into details it got so bad that I ended up having to go to hospital before I was taken seriously and anything was done. Once that happened they were able to give me what I needed (which they should have done in the first instance instead of waiting 3 weeks and for me to loose over a stone in weight).

Ugh, the landlord refused my offer on the perfect flat I saw, and now I don't know whether to up the offer which I initially couldn't really afford or give up the flat. What a dreadful day already!

    Hello.

Ive lost 1lb this week...not ideal but its better than nothing.

I am pleased to announce that my kitten survived his first night with my other cat, despite some hissing.

And here he is...my little Heathcliff

I'd QUITE ENJOY the weight loss..

I just hate my doctors. There's 3 there and they seem to have this BLANKET policy of saying "It'll solve itself" or "We don't know" rather than referring. I really should change, but I've been with them since I was born and I love the nurse, who I see lots because of my allergies and my asthma.

I have a recurring stomach problem which means it gurgles all the time and when I eat, I often feel a bit sick afterwards. "Oh it's just one of those things" has been the response til I eventually gave up and just live with it now...

    Maybe you have IBS sheena.

So did the doctor give you an idea of how long your ear will take to clear?

I reckon so, but they won't even go down that route to test or whatever they do. It's the same as when I first became allergic to something- used to get this rash all over me with no explanation. My Mum gets the same thing so it's obviously genetic but there's no obvious pattern...will they give us allergy testing? WILL THEY FUCK...

    Luckily it's cleared up

So did the doctor give you an idea of how long your ear will take to clear?
"Another two weeks and then come back if it's still blocked and we'll take it from there"...

Can't you get an allergy test privately? I'm sure I've seen adverts in my local chemist. I don't think it was that expensive either....
