I hope the Sugababes manage to actually be #1. Partly because I love song the song, but mostly to keep Rihanna/Jay Z/Kanye off.

Apparently Jay-Z is number 1 on itunes.
Top up, Sue?
I will do anything to stop Sugababes getting to #1 APART from buying the Jay Z single
Sugababes are in the midweeks twice, at #1 and #38, so there will be a few extra sales to be added on once sales are combined.
Four-way battle to top singles chart
10:52 | Tuesday September 1, 2009
By Paul Williams
A four-way battle to top the singles chart this Sunday has broken out with newly-issued hits from Sugababes and Jay-Z taking on the current top two by Dizzee Rascal and David Guetta.
At this stage in the week Sugababes’ Island-issued Get Sexy has established a narrow lead over its competitors as the trio chase a sixth UK number one single in their own right and seven including their Walk This Way pairing with Girls Aloud.
Their nearest challenger is Jay-Z whose first Roc Nation single via Atlantic Records, Run This Town, is aiming to give the American his first-ever UK chart-topper in his own right. He has previously topped the chart twice, but only as a featured artist, firstly in 2006 with his wife Beyonce on Déjà vu and a year later on Rihanna’s Umbrella.
Dizzee Rascal’s Dirtee Skank-issued Holiday and the Positiva/Virgin-released Sexy Chick by David Guetta featuring Akon, which sat at one and two on the chart announced last Sunday, are currently the week’s third and fourth top sellers.
Meanwhile, Hand Me Down/Columbia’s Kings Of Leon are set to make a return to the Top 10 with their 2008 chart-topper Sex On Fire after it was performed on X Factor by contestant Jamie Archer. Sales of the track are further being helped by the band’s Reading/Leeds festival appearance being televised, a factor also aiding sales of the follow-up hit Use Somebody increasing by 177.8% on the week so far, while their album Only By The Night’s sales have more than doubled to place it as the closest rival to Arctic Monkeys to top the albums chart.
Lady GaGa will further stretch her run of hits this coming weekend with Wale’s Interscope/Polydor-issued hit Chillin, which features the double chart-topper, on course to debut inside the Top 20. Other Top 40-bound entries should include Hed Kandi-handled Booty Luv’s Say It and One Night Only by Columbia act Deena Jones & The Dreams.
Domino’s Arctic Monkeys are likely to spend a second week at one on the albums chart with Humburg as it leads Kings Of Leon by more than 5,000 sales with Positiva/Virgin’s David Guetta claiming the week’s third top seller so far with One Love.
Mercury act Noah & The Whale are expected to have the week’s highest albums entry with The First Days Of Spring presently the week’s eighth top seller, while other acts debuting will include fellow Mercury act Just Jack, Columbia’s 7 Worlds Collide, Silver Arrow-signed Black Crowes, Backstage Alliance’s Wildhearts and VP/Atlantic’s Sean Paul.
WHAT?
That Sugababes song is DREADFUL. What IS the world coming to?
I doubt Jay-Z will overtake, but if it did, it would be the best number one single in MONTHS (and that isn't really an achievement but a default of sorts)
i HATE that Jay-Z one. DRIVEL.
Well so is Sugababes but at least you can dance to it
I don't like that Jay-Z song. I hope Get Sexy stays on top.
What's confusing? We just find the heart of the prison and the dragon who speaks without walls, and we're home free. Simple.
sales added for top 5 singles / albums
3000 isnt a very big lead, I did my part for the babes, buying it digitally and physically though.

Ugh. The Jay Z track is the same old derivative drivel the likes of himself, Kanye and Rihanna put out every other month. 'Get Sexy' is not exactly a masterpiece, but at the very least it is fun and stands out as a track.

I wonder how the profit splits work. I bet those new artists barely make a PENNY.
Who are the new artists there, incidentally, Jay-Z, Kanye or Rihanna?![]()

Vera Lynn #4? HA HA HA.
She HAS HAD a bucketload of publicity this week to BE FAIR.
I'm almost tempted to buy Vera Lynn myself. Now why can't that FAT CUNT MOYLES get behind THAT?
What publicity has Vera Lynn got this week?![]()

Leave him to google it himself. Don't PATRONISE HIM, even though it's hard to do MUCH ELSE
