The Silence is working for me, because the lyrics are EXACTLY where I am right now in my relationship.
NATURALLY I think I'm a nice person. But I make women uncomfortable because I have this unattainable body.

I still really like The Silence but to be fair I haven't played it that often.

For me it's the opposite. I wasn't so keen on it at first, but love it now!

    confused

I don't get what there is to hate? It's so catchy!

I love her embarassed, half-hearted "Red One!" shoutout at the beginning too.

To use an old phrase it's HEN PARTY HELL.

There's nothing i hate more than a group of middle aged women out for a GIRLS NIGHT OUT, pretending to be having more fun than they actually are because it's their one escape from their terrible lives, and they've decided to sod the diets and have lots of wine calories so it needs to be worth it.

And this is an anthem for that (imo).

Bad news TP, it appears to have been confirmed as the next single!

    http://www.in4merz.com/summary-burke...le-nov-06.html

They're foolish not to release the Silence to shift some christmas albums, but I'm sure this will do well regardless.

"Broken Heels" is one of the WORST THINGS I HAVE EVER HEARD

they really have turned her into a by-the-numbers, unoriginal, music-will-date-in-six-months, poptart

No wonder she's doing so well

I don't hate it, but it really isn't all that.

    Not like The Silence!

Why is Schuh anthem Broken Heels being released before The Silence and All Night Long?

This is more retarded than Alexandra's personality

I saw I gave Broken Heels initially a 9. That is of course way too high, but I'd still give it a 7,5. It's fun, but certainly not the best option for the next single.

    HA! Too bloody true.

I'm amazed it hasn't been taken up for a Boots advert.

    moopy

The title does make me think of cracked heels also -

    Spoiler: REALLY GROSS

They sell cream for that at boots, so an advert soundtrack is even more likely.

My heels look like that all of the time, TP. It's from walking around in ballet pumps made of cardboard.

BTW I am going to be one of those women one day, so I am PERSONALLY OFFENDED*

I am absolutely living for this shit at the moment, I genuinely think the first four songs are the hottest streak of tracks in this millennium to the point of listening to the album backwards cause if I listen to it from the beginning I always just put the first four songs on repeat instead of listening to the rest of the album.

    re-rate

    10 Bad Boys
    09 Good Night Good Morning
    11 The Silence
    10 All Night Long
    08 Bury Me
    08 Broken Heels
    07 Dumb
    07 Overcome
    08 Gotta Go
    07 You Broke My Heart
    07 Nothing But the Girl
    05 They Don't Know
    08 Hallelujah
    07 It's Over

A few things have struck me while re-listening to some of the songs as of late. "Broken Heals", the next single apparently(?), is a bit TOO Alesha Dixon "The Boy Does Nothing" (while a good thing) without that much that's new to offer, and I can't help but thinking they're a bit retarded for not releasing "The Silence" as the second single. And "Overcome" weirdly reminds me of Sugababes' "Denial" with bigger vox.

I saw an interview on Granada TV that made me like her.
The album advert on just now made me want to STAB MY TV.

    I love 'Broken Heels'.

'All Night Long' was being lined up as the second single. Mixes were even commissioned, so I don't know why they changed their minds. Regardless, BH followed by 'The Silence' followed by 'All Night Long' is literally an 11/10 singles run for me.

Dumb is officially the best song on the album (and possibly ever).

Also please let me join the FUCK OFF Broken Heels brigade.

Sorry but I think this album's a MESS.

COHESIVE is certainly not a word in her VOCABULARY.

I have to say that repeated plays have revealed I QUITE LIKE THIS. I thought it was rubbish at first, but it's definitely a grower...

Oh Apoca, put on some less "Uprising" and some more "Some Girls". That variety's one of this album's strongest suits in my book - I couldn't bear it if it was either "Broken Heels" times twelve or "The Silence" times twelve, no matter how strong the individual songs.

    I KNOW

Fuck she was actually really amazing.

Why didn't she do that the first time round though?

The JLS duet worked really well too.
