A palace spokesman told the Daily Mail: "I really don't know if the Queen or Prince Philip have listened to Lady GaGa, or are familiar with her.
"But the Royal Variety Performance is a well-known charitable event which they support and they meet all the stars involved."
The gala evening will also feature Diversity, the winners of this year's Britain's Got Talent.
