That WHAAOOOO WHAAOOO is seriously annoying, but kudos for the little guy singing WHILST BREAKDANCING

Not much of a turnout was there, was this ever big?

Really happy for the Netherlands. Shows that it IS possible to do well in Eurovision. Belgium also did better than usual.

Sweden was my favourite though. Are there any more Sanden sisters or have we seen them all now?

The interval act was a mimetastic performance by Ani Lorak. She should return to Eurovision with something like 'I'm Alive'.

I decided not to watch this year and my mouth fell open when I saw we were in the lead halfway through. Let's hope this can improve our entries in the real contest. Our first win since 1975
What's confusing? We just find the heart of the prison and the dragon who speaks without walls, and we're home free. Simple.

The news opened with this! We were desperate for a win

The winning song reminds me of an Amanda Jenssen song but I can't think which :s

I sat through the whole webcast and gotta admit, the song did stand out a mile Quite a mature sound (shame about the lyrics) and not being one of the favourites made it stand out even more.

Does this prove we have been sending crap all the other years?

Yes, deserving winner and hope this will appease the Dutch a bit in their annual hissy-fit of threatening to drop out of the regular contest after bellyflopping every single year since Edsilia's first go. The song and performance was the standout of the evening for me too, as blatantly as the production magpies from Pixie Lott's "Mama Do".

Pleased as punch for our little Laura too, and her catchy-as-herpes mash-up of Gwen Stefani's "Wind It Up" and the Spice Girls' "Wannabe". Yodelo

The Eastern bloc must have realized this is a SET-UP by now. Two or three Western countries participating amidst DOZENS of... well, AND ending up winning.

    Horrendous.
