They were cooked! Lot of work for just a few bits of artichokes.

That looks so good!
WHAT DID I SAY?
It was so delicious but yet so expensive. So nothing I could afford regularly.
Oh Jonathan that looks LOVELY and I don't even like food! I'd never make anything like that, I just don't have the patience![]()

Don't like food. Incredible![]()
I'm just not fussed by itThat's why I can't spend any massive amount of time making it. Plus I find when I'm cooking I just eat along at the same time, so when dinner is ready I'm just not hungry

I wish I would just like food on the weekend![]()
During the week it's hard to eat healthy and cheap.
Who can say what it is wins something.

A frog inside an ice cube with domain unregistered under it?
Didn't work? Edited.
Well this here was my attempt at making a German-flag inspired tortellini salad. The black from the sepia came out brilliantly but unfortunately I went a bit easy on the saffron and the tomato paste for the pasta dough which is why the red and gold turned into dark orange and pale yellow.

Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
Roasted courgettes and aubergines, sundried tomatoes and ricotta cheese.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
Grilled brioche, summer berries, forest honey and a dusting of icing sugar. Not the sort of thing I'd normally make but it was lovely.
Take your nose off my keyboard.
Give me BERRIES and I am a happy boy.
I made my own brioche a while ago. What a faff.

I haven't made food in ages. I just can't be arsed when it's this hot![]()
Trust me, if I hadn't been invited to a birthday yesterday I wouldn't have made the effort in this BAKING OVEN that's Germany right now either!
But it was still fun, did one dough with tomatopuree and the one in the picture with chopped up basil which gave it an interesting texture.

NO. They were cheat ones though - not made from a proper laminated dough.

Is there a point in making a separate baking thread or should it be confined to here? I just hope my Banana, Orange and Cardamom bread turns out alright so I can post a picture.
How did you use the cardamom? I had a friend who put pods in everything, and as lovely as the flavour you get from it is, the sensation of biting into one is quite something quite the opposite.

DO IT, T-R
I'm way more into bread than cake anyways
Less talk and more pictures of food please.
The seeds inside the pods. I think I was supposed to crush them, something that I only realised half way through preparing the amount i'm supposed to put in. Should be fine?Originally Posted by Sharla
just don't eat the pods, it's a bit like clove, gives a lovely flavour but is an unpleasant overload if you bite into it!
Should be fine with the innards mixed throughout a cake then.
My loaf. I'd put in more cardamom and orange zest next time to REALLY bring out those flavours next time, I think. Otherwise it's great... even the candied orange is as it's supposed to be.
