Moopy - iPhone / iPod version

Thanks to some technical wonkery from Wendy and Star, we now have included a service called forum-runner to provide an alternative way of viewing moopy on iPods touch and iPhones.

The free app let's you see what the forum looks like in read-only:
    http://iphone.appmobilize.com/track/159679

If you like the app, you can pay £1.19, to get the full version - which I think will let you post:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/forum...362527234?mt=8

I'm only on the free version at the moment, but might try the paid one later this weekend.

Can others give this a go and let me know whether it works?

I was going to download this earlier but the user reviews on it were scarce. It's good though, having discussed a mobile-compatible Moopy, that someone went and did it for us.

I'm not sure yet. It's certainly different. And quicker.

My instinct is, it'll be useful for 3G iPhone usage.

I do like the idea of a moopy Sportbike subforum.

There's something similar called Tapatalk, which has an android version.

    It'll mean Star/Wendy installing another add-in, though.

Might be worth waiting a couple of days to see feedback from this one.

Stay well away from 'Tapatalk', it's useless. We were considering implementing it for the Popjustice forum but it's FULL of problems.

It does it's job fairly well, it does have it's flaws but nothing major. There's plenty of scope for the application itself so it's all down to the developers at Forum Runner really. Your core features are there, PM's, attachments, searching etc.

I find the searching much better here, than on nuMoopy.

I would QUITE HAPPILY buy and use it.

But I'm guessing it's all on a seperate application. My home button is stuffed so I generally just stay on the internets.

I have. It's a much better way of browsing the site than using Safari for me so BRAVA to Star and Wendy.

The app is buggy and a bit feature poor but it gets the job done.

I do miss not having a "last post" listing on the front page, so I have to go into each forum to see if anything has happened (IT HASN'T), but it's a small price to pay

I don't think I ever use subforums, except when making a brand new thread.

This seems quite good so far. I imagine there are some features missing that I haven't noticed yet, but I think it will be handy for everyday use, and Safari is always there too if you need to do something more complicated.

All the time when I'm not near a computer. It's too fiddly in Safari.

Am I missing out on some classic tags - I thought they'd kinda died out in NuMoopy.

Well since we managed to move the tag box up (thanks Eileen!), they seem to have taken off again.
